One of the reasons books exist is to pass along information--some of which you might learn on your own. But in such a complex proposal as online marketing, you're unlikely to pick up everything on your own, if for no other reason than the fact that each and every one of has a different approach to problem-solving.

In this book you an learn how highly successful online marketers get it done--without having to go through trial-and-error method and missing the unique wisdom that's offered herein.

It's rare to find a book that you like and can share with just about anyone. For example, I like science fiction, but not everybody reads SF. Ditto for other kinds of reading--biographies, mysteries, etc.

Cincinnati Television is one of those rare books that appeals to just about everyone--even people who aren't frequent readers. Even people who haven't read a book in ten years will like this one.

For those who are more avid readers (or historians) Jim Friedman went to great lengths to make the book more than a simple chronicle of what happened when--which is what most books in this category seem to be. He contacted just about all of the local TV legends still… Read more
The Trouble Is Not in Your Set: A History of Telev&hellip by Mary Ann Kelley
I opened this book looking forward to plenty of useful facts, good organization, and maybe even engaging writing.

I'm sorry to say that I was disappointed on all accounts.

This is unfortunate, because The Trouble is Not in Your Set is a a great title, and the book has excellent production values (kudos to the C.J. Krehbiel Company). Plus, both the author and the subject matter had great potential.

What the book ends up being is a disjointed romp through the author's personal history and the history of network television and that of a few of her heroes. But even though this book is an example of self-publishing gone bad, it does have some interesting… Read more
