There once was a publisher named Scholastic.
They published a book that they thought fantastic.
It made me sick.
There was no rhythm, nor reason to it.
The author just sent them a big pile of $(-)!+!!!,
and they published it.
Small wonder that kids out there can't seem to write.
Due to garbage like this that they read every night,
they aren't real bright.
Absolutely atrocious! My kid's school was pushing this through some Scholastic program. Luckily, we opted for renting it from our local library. I am so glad I didn't waste any money on this pile. Does anyone actually read books before they publish them, or before they try to sell this crap to our children? C'mon folks, it's like 30 sentences! Take a minute or two for some QA before allowing this kind of garbage to infest our schools and make our kids into idiots.
Anyone who hasn't played around with "modern" magnets, and only messed with those magnets found in the back of big, colorful, fridge letters and numbers that the kids use for edumacation, really needs to check these out as they are crazy magnetic! Hard to get them apart sometimes! They are very tiny...get a ruler out so you know what you'll be getting. They more than make up for their size in magnetism....Read more
I really wanted to love this because if this turned out to be a winner then the JVC 3D conversion product would be used to convert many older movies, and we'd see an inexpensive onslaught of 3D movies.
This was middle of the road +. There were some weird overlaps of backgrounds and foregrounds (bending of light where the two meet). There was a slightly flat feel through the entire thing, which ain't good when rating 3D quality. The high def was very good, even on my 110 inch projection screen, so the package doesn't get the three stars I would have given it based solely on the 3D, but I can't go above a 4 because of the 3D (I think I'm already being generous).
I think the process could work, but it still needs more human involvement. Convert, watch the movie with a critical eye, tweak the conversion, watch again, rinse and repeat... :)
Maybe in the near future we'll have a better automated conversion process so we can get all the classics in 3D before 3D becomes a dead technology (again). I hope it doesn't, but many movies came out in 3D decades ago and eventually they went bye-bye, so it could happen again. Of course, the 3D was nothing like it is now, but still, there are many people who don't like wearing the glasses no matter how well they work.
These magnets do not measure to 1/4" wide. They miss the boat slightly. I'd say they are closer to 3/16" at best on the width. Amazon should measure them before selling them under an incorrect dimension. I am sure they are buying them under the same pretenses, but again, don't assume your vendors are right....Read more
Bethesda, either fix this mess or be prepared for serious backlash. I don't think anyone will be stupid enough to purchase another of your games for the PS3. People, the only way to ensure Bethesda does right by you is to boycott their games and slam them any chance you get until they give back your money or, better yet, fix this piece of junk! What an unprofessional mess of an untested release. I wonder if anyone has decided to start a class-action lawsuit against them to reclaim all of the lost dollars spent? If not, perhaps someone should...hint, hint...wink, wink...nudge, nudge......Read more
Amazon needs to change the picture and description since it says you get the dvd, digital copy, and regular blu-ray, along with the 3D versions (2 discs, 4 formats). I only got the 3D blu-ray in this set! The cover didn't even match the picture, as mine only said blu-ray 3D and nothing on the back said otherwise. If it is written on here as two discs and 4 formats then it will confuse consumers. The support I spoke with said that it's been happening frequently and that they probably don't have the version the website says they have. I ordered from another vendor.
C'mon, Amazon! This appears to be a habit you are forming (see same type issue in the reviews for the Toy Story 3D multi-disc/multi-format Blu-ray).
Picture this: Everything you love about GOW; now add 3D.
They did an incredible job with this.
Of course, having 130" of sick 3D GOW in my face can be nothing short of spectacular!
Buy it. Next, buy a 3D-ready projector along with all the necessary conversion hardware and you'll have a gaming experience unlike anything you have ever experienced.
Seriously, are you still reading this? Get out of the house and get these items! Now!
