And it is complete crap. Seriously. Looks like I got one someone returned since it was defective and just in bad condition. Don't believe me? Look at the pictures...Needless to say this is getting returned ASAP. Would never trust my child's life in a product that isn't even put together correctly! Bad, GRACO....Read more
My six year old Kindergartener and I have read a few of the Real Kids Readers Level 1 books since she is starting to "read" site words, and decipher letter sounds through phonics. This book is the perfect mix of both methods for any beginning reader since the sentences are short, the words are simple, and there are a few harder to pronounce words mixed in (ex. makes). This is a short book with photos of real kids and a silly storyline - which seems to attract my small readers! Overall I like this since my daughter is very proud that she can READ a book at last!! We plan to get more soon....Read more
We purchased this adorable fire truck for our two year old son for Christmas. It was a HUGE hit! A little skeptical that it would not work since it was so cheap, we put it together a few days prior to Christmas Eve and after charging it for a few hours, plugged it in and were relieved when the buttons worked. It came put together (with the exception of the stickers that took all of two minutes to apply) which was a big bonus with my husband! For an $89 truck its worth its money. It does not go fast, the battery runs out of juice pretty often (and you have to charge it for up to 12 hours), and the buttons for the alarm sounds are loud. But its very easy to operate, sturdy, and loads of fun for our toddler and his friends!
My son will be on the verge of outgrowing this truck in a few months but I have not had any major issues with it since December.
Just keep in mind that its SMALL and older siblings trying to ride it will kill the battery faster than anything else on a low horsepower ride-on :)
Overall happy with our purchase for the money. Didn't want to spend $300+ on a motorized ride-on toy that we didn't know that he would like...
When I asked my daughter (6) what she wanted for Christmas, she kept saying an "art box"! Not knowing that existed, I found this while browsing Amazon. It looked close to what she described, so we purchased it (for less than half of the advertised price now - so watch it drop closer to the holidays). She LOVED it! It has so many different mediums of art, colors, papers, ect. Although I didn't love that it was made in China, it did have the "CE" quality mark, and conformed to the ASTM D-4236 standards. I only wish it came with instructions since a few of the fancier pieces I do not know how to use!!...Read more
I really like this D'Nealian poster! I purchased it and hung it in our playroom so my kids can see it every day. If your preschool is like mine, they teach block letters. However, our school system teaches D'Nealian writing starting in Kindergarten, so it's almost like re-learning the alphabet! Now that I know, my four year old will get to spend time copying the letters off this poster so she is familiar with D'Nealian style writing. Overall a great buy!...Read more
I have two daughters ages four and six. While the "sight word" method of reading is (questionably) preferred by most school systems, this game was actually very fun and a hit with my kids! Although I don't personally agree with sight words, the words on the popcorn pieces are easily sounded out, so my six year old can decipher the words she does know from school. We use the words to practice phonnics :) I also use the 3-letter words for my four year old to "spell" so she can play along too - and practice her ABC recognition. A great game for the right price. I only wish the pieces were laminated so they would last a little longer with toddlers around the house......Read more
We purchased this Baptism outfit for our Godson (2 months old) and it was adorable! It was a little large (As expected) but fit nicely and was 100% cotton with a bonnet included. No shoes or socks come with this outfit to make sure to remember to purchase those seperately. I wish there was not as many buttons on the back since its a little ackward to put on an infant, but overall I would recommend this product....Read more
