"Content is King" is something we've all heard, after reading "Content Rules" you will understand although an old adage it's still true.

What I like about the book:

1. The "How To" parts of driving customers to your business through blogging, podcasting, writing white papers, vlogging, etc., by sharing information versus traditional product promotion have examples that are understandable.

2. The many "real world" references of strategies to use that aren't from Fortune 500 companies.

3. The holistic approach of content creation and re-purposing.

What I don't like about this book:

My first good mic was and still is an Audio-Technica 3035. To get good sound from my 3035 into my computer I use an external audio interface, mixer, and compressor and Acostica Mixcraft 5 for editing.

Th YETI doesn't require a mixer, compressor, audio interface, etc. I have found the sound quality to be better than any of the half dozen or so cheaper USB mics I have tried. I don't think you will find a better USB mic in this price range. It is well built and large, measuring 11 3/4" high and it is pretty heavy which is great, it won't get knocked over easily.

Before buying this book I examined at least a half dozen of the competitors. Many of which are twice the price of WordPress for Dummies. Lisa Sabin-Wilson's latest WordPress for Dummies book is the best book available at this time for WordPress newbies.

It starts in the right place choosing how you will publish / host WordPress. Wilson explains both options with the pro's and con's of each. It's an important decision and the information she provides is helpful.

Chapters are sequenced properly with few references to something written in an earlier chapter. This kept me from flipping back and forth between chapters to setup this or that feature on my website. Each… Read more
