I enjoyed this novel a lot, the whole development of it all, and the prose.
However, there are 2 things I have issues with: the very flawed main characters, and the message that this novel send.
The bad part:
Having just read Yellow recently (the short stories which I loved), like Eugene Kim, the protagonist, Eric Cho, is a very passive character . It was frustrating to see how he was the typical caricature of the nice, kind, passive Asian man.
I was furthermost annoyed at this relationships with women... I like that he is a good man, but he is such a doormat. In the end, he went back to his first girlfriend. I had hoped he redeemed… Read more
