Philips Sonicare HX5610/01 Essence 5600 Rechargeab&hellip by Philips
4.0 out of 5 stars Economy version (but it works), February 3, 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
This is the bare bones, no frills version of the Sonicare, without any of the bells and whistles of the more expensive models.

There is no travel charger, no UV cleaning feature, no extra heads or color-code rings, and no audible signal or vibration for the 30 second change-over time.

Regardless, it still does an excellent job on your teeth, which is the most important function after all. It comes in an easy to open box, with a travel case and base charger, and is your basic one-man (or woman) tooth cleaning machine.

An improvement would be if they could include those little tongue-cleaning nodule-thingies on the back of the brush head.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for walkabouts, February 3, 2013
Point of View: Hobby/Amateur
Cameras: Nikon D7000/D600

I would not have purchased this lens if it hadn't come with the D600 as a kit lens, but I am SO glad that Nikon knows best. As a medium telephoto zoom lens, I use it on the D600 most of the time for capturing landscapes and street photography.

At 24mm it's wide enough to capture everything from foreground elements to distant landmarks, and at f/3.5 it's fast enough to get the wedding party in a church (if the lights aren't too dim) without using a flash.

When it comes to festivals and carnivals, I use this on the D600 for the big picture, and a 50mm f/1.8 on the D7000 for street portraits. It is… Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars A cinch for a strap, January 8, 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
Pros:

1. Easy to set up - no tools required. Just attach the stainless steel/aluminum mount to the tripod socket at the bottom of the camera and tighten the thumbscrew. (And recheck ever so often that it's tightened)

2. Fits a lot more comfortably than a regular neck strap. All DSLRs should come with this type of strap. No neck burn or awkward carrying positions.

3. Can be tightened against the body by pulling on the pivot ring and camera (in opposite directions) for when you need to go hands free across some difficult terrain (or when your hands are otherwise occupied)

4. Can be worn on either shoulder or even behind your back as needed… Read more
