Tempted (House of Night Novels) by P. C. Cast
I was hoping that the daring triumph over Nepheret and Kalona from the last book would move the series along and get our favorite members of The House of Night to expand their powers and mature. But no.
It's more of the same - ok Mom and daughter Cast - you're getting sales - we'll buy the books - now give us more substance!
The dynamic between Stevie Rai, red fledglings' High Priestess has formed a bond between the spawn of Kalona and the ancient Indian maidens, this one called Rephaim. Oh the potential that can have!! I did not read the early Anne Rice, but am surely glad I am reading her work now.
Angel Time is a book for all religions. It is a book of redemption that is so amazing it is almost impossible to put down.
Tony O'Dare has had a hard life. His mother was an alcoholic, and he had several siblings. He did the best he could to help the family. But something so horrendous happened that his life would never be the same again.
He becomes an assassination. He works for a man called 'The Right Man' who orders hits and Tony, known to this boss as 'Lucky' uses syringes filled with poison.

John Connolly is a brilliant writer. From his Charlie (Bird) Parker series to his stand alone books, you know you'll get an excitingly provocative read.
The Gates was semi-reviewed incorrectly in the Oct 26th People Magazine.
Here is what the plot really is -
A young boy Samuel Johnson, and his loyal dog, Boswell - go trick or treating a few days early and he rings the doorbell at 666 Crowly Road and after being told to go away it wasn't Halloween, looks at the light in the basement and sees 4 adults in black cloaks doing what looks like witchy things -
