I am proud to be a member of the USA-Today 2007 All American Teacher Team, and a Nationally Board Certified teacher. I am also an author. My books include: "Teacher Under Construction!", "God, Help Me Pray", and 7 others. Please see the list in this webpage. Other than teaching and Bible study, my favorite thing to do is write. I am a charter member of the Author Advisory Council for Author House Publishers, and love to speak on education and publishing at national and regional conferences. I attended Lafayette High School in Lexington, KY, and Eastern Kentucky University. I did graduate work at the University of Kentucky and Trinity Theological Seminary. I think teaching ancient cultures to 7th graders is about the coolest job on earth!

This is a delightful and wonderfully illustrated children's book extolling not only the importance of the first coming of Jesus, but the heartwarming obedience of a little boy striving to do right. The brief and creative telling of the Christmas story is replete with biblical names (a nice touch), and the author shows his familiarity with not only the customs of the period, but the foods as well. For my matinée money I got more foul language than memorable lines, an Alien-esque monster that I could develop neither sympathy nor hate for, and a not-so-epic conclusion that made me ask the question: 'who the heck cares?'
I won't rehash… Read more

As a middle school teacher, I was looking for the best heavy-duty sharpener I could find. Needless to say, this isn't it. I have been through FOUR, yes four--of these. They work fine for awhile, then one gets the infamous 'hum of death'. If you get a lifetime replacement warranty, maybe it's worth it. I just trusted the thing to work for a few years. Bad move. Four times.
