Well... right before I got this CD, I crowned Royce Da 5'9"s new album, album of the year. That all changed when I bumped this one. K-Rino has been rapping since around 1983, and has never sounded better. He is, and has been the best in the game in the lyrics department for some time now, IMO. With this album, you get classic K-Rino: Political songs, social cuts, insane lyrical displays, fun tracks, concept tracks, and reflective tracks. 'Forensics' is easily the best lyrical track of the year; along with 'Barbedwire Discipline' and 'When It's Time'. 'Solitary Confinement' and 'Who Killed Realness' are two of the best concept songs in recent memory (especially the title track; it will… Read more
Cormega has been one of my favorite artists since I started listening to hip hop a few years back. When I heard that his album was scheduled to drop in the 4th quarter this year, I was estatic. The production credits surfaced a couple months before the album dropped, and I deemed it album of the year before it came out. While not quite being there, the CD is still in my top 5 as of right now. Cormega brings the usual street tale rhymes that he's known for, while throwing in dope metaphors and harcore lyrics. Lyrically, this may be his best showing. Usually, his emotion really brings out his lyrical displays (as it does on more than a few tracks here), but it seems he fine tuned his… Read more
I wasn't really expecting this album to be anything great, just a nice 4 star album from Royce. Boy, was I wrong. I got this one sitting over 4.5 stars (I've played it around 14 times). To me, this is Royce's best lyrical album to date; no wasted verses at all. The story telling tracks are all on point, and songs like Soldier, New Money, Mine In Thiz, and Street Hop 2010 are some of the best lyrical displays of the year. The production is easily in the top 5 of the year (though I thought 6 July would have more than 1 track). Emile, Frequency, and STREETRUNNER, are really showing me why they are a few of the best in the game right now. Not to mention, the three Primo tracks are some of his… Read more
I've read many poker books, some extremely useful with great knowledge, and others with nothing important with information that a rookie wouldn't need.
2008 is shaping up to be a great year for hip hop music. Not too much of a mainstream influence this year, but that's alright; the underground is holding it down.

"Nasir Jones (Nas) has been making incredible hip hop music since the early 1990's. The first time he was heard on a major record was on the classic Main Source album, Breaking Atoms . The song "Live At The Barbecue" began the legacy of Nasty Nas. Nas' first, and most acclaimed album,
