A Siren by definition is a device that makes a loud signal, or if you refer to Greek Mythology a siren can be referred to a mermaid or a winged creature whose singing lured sailors onto rocks. Reading has always been my favorite pastime. I primarily read young adult novels, but I enjoy all genres of writing. As well as reading books, I also enjoy discussing them.

This book was fantastic. I loved it. If this series is anything like what I am anticipating after reading the first novel, it's going to be epic.
It has all the elements of a great novel, there were just a few unsettling factors that I won't mention as to keep this spoiler free. But overall, I'm impressed!
The characterization is spectacular. Kate divulges enough about each character, allowing a sense of recognition, yet at the same time, you're questioning their very actions, wondering exactly who or what they are. Three dimensional characters, shrouded in mystery! I'm hoping that Luce regains some of her assertiveness as the series continues.

Three words; cute, quick, fun!
I was expecting something a little "darker" since this novel had that whole demon thing going for it, but it ended up being on the lighter, humorous side.

Nikki was a funny, insecure and likable character and I'm really looking forward to reading more about her and her adventures.
The writing is really easy to read and enjoy. The plot flowed nicely and all of the characters were well developed. Although, I did have most of the plot twists figured out… Read more

I love cookbooks. I'm always interested in new recipes, and fun food creations! I am one of those people that always crave salty/sweets. So this cookbook seemed like something that would be an excellent addition to my kitchen!
One thing for me is, I like simple, available ingredients. I don't want to have to visit 5 stores to find an ingredient! There are a few recipes in this book that call for, what I like to call off the wall ingredients. Or, the "i hope i love this and make it ten more times, because i'll never use this ingredient in anything else" which usually results in said ingredient sitting on my pantry shelf until it goes bad. I've come to avoid those recipes that… Read more
