Julie & Julia DVD ~ Meryl Streep
Julie & Julia DVD ~ Meryl Streep
5.0 out of 5 stars An absolutely marvelous movie!, February 12, 2012

Ryan Gosling is one of the finest young… Read more

If only we could see into the future a year, five years, ten, pick one--it will be the right one concerning marriage. We go into a marriage with all these hopes, this love, this shared life and truly, truly believe that we will finish the race together, stay bonded, stay in love. "Blue Valentine" is more truthful than not. Michelle Williams as Cindy, the one with goals, with "potential," discovers that Dean (Ryan Gosling) is not her Prince Charming. But she knew that going into the relationship. What goes wrong in a marriage? When? If love dies, can it be resurrected? Resparked? Repaired? Made new again?

Director Derek Clanfrance says no in this case. The title "Blue Valentine"… Read more
