A conductor stands poised, baton at the ready, before his orchestra. A surgeon takes that steadying breath, scalpel in hand. A teacher stands before a class of eager, boisterous behavior under control. What marvels will unfold in each scenario? It's that beginning, that initial moment, knowing--in advance--the great effort of the task to come, that leads "Julie and Julia" to fruition. But she knew that going into the relationship. What goes wrong in a marriage? When? If love dies, can it be resurrected? Resparked? Repaired? Made new again? Director Derek Clanfrance says no in this case. The title "Blue Valentine"… Read more

Someone once asked me about books that could get boys to read. I've discovered that boys who don't read are likely recalcitrant. However, boys who still find joy in reading LOVE the following series!
There are so many things listed for sale on Amazon that I wanted to show its true diversity and depth.
I typed in "Times" and here are the results--just a partial listing. Fascinating, I think!
