In my own words
I'm a blogger, web developer and avid reader. I really enjoy the writing of Karen Hancock, Kathy Tyers, Jan Karon, Madeleine L'Engle, C.S. Lewis, Tamora Pierce, and Robin Jones Gunn, and I'm always open to new books.

I do judge books by their covers (what can I say, I'm a designer!) but sometimes I read books with lousy covers and like them anyway.

Since Amazon doesn't have a cover image, let me first reiterate that this book was published in 1980. The illustrations, while fun and bright, date the book. Of course, young kids probably won't care about that.
