Like others have said, this is not a replacement for a corded circular saw. The portability is great however. Ripping the edge of a solid wood door is slow, as it bogs down quickly, but 3/4" plywood is a piece of cake.
Where to buy a rip fence? The model that comes with battery and charger includes a rip fence but the model number is not in the manual and I have searched to no avail. Corded circular saws have wider slots than this so they won't fit. Hello Bosch, list the model number of the rip fence that fits this!
Junk. This arrived bent. It was very easy to bend back straight and would bend again easily and come out of square. I'm looking for a rip fence for a Bosch cordless jigsaw and cordless circular saw. The ones that fit corded saws are too wide to fit into the narrower slots on the cordless Bosch models. If anyone knows what model number to look for, please let me know. I couldn't find anything in a web search and took a chance on this coat hanger....Read more
This FNH180 cordless finishing nail gun is awesome. I haven't used it much but it easily sinks 2.5" 16 gauge 20 degree nails into solid pine. It is much heavier and more bulky than an air finishing nailer but you don't need to haul a compressor/hose along and don't need to consider the amps of an outlet to run the compressor. It's a pain to go find the blown circuit and reset in an unfamiliar wired home.
I wouldn't use this to trim out a whole house because of the weight. I would use it for hard to reach areas like crown molding, where an air gun would feel the weight of the dangling/tangling hose.
My old 120V Dewalt planer has a lot more power. I just planed the long end of a sticking door and it struggled at anything more than removing 1/16" at a time. I do like that the exhaust can be switched from one side to the other and my vacuum hose fits nice and tight in the exhaust ports.
I also had a tough time keeping this planer square to the door edge and need to straighten it out with a circular saw. Maybe that was just me.
Works well. Not enough power to light a whole 5 meter SMD5050 strip but I knew that before ordering. This will power maybe 6 feet.
There are similar looking 30W 12V transformers that cost more on Amazon and elsewhere. They are probably all made by the same company, so why pay more for the same?
