I bought this for my 2007 Ford Fusion I4 2.3L and since the tune I've been extremely pleased. I loved all of the options available. The only reason I don't rate this five stars is because the tune files are not very clear to someone who has never used this before. That said, customer support was excellent and quickly helped me find the information I needed. The tune files are actually the octane selection which I suppose would be obvious to someone with experience doing this. That unfortunately is now me. I really like the data logging feature as well. All in all this has been a great investment....Read more
I'm actually very pleased with this kit. I live on the side of a volcano in Hawaii, so I torture my brakes constantly. This has definitely cut down on the brake fade, and I have yet to overheat my rotors.
I only have two issues. First, they are noisy! I get a bit of squeal every so often, and I know that it probably just brake dust, but it's not something that I had noticed with the stock brakes at any point in time.
Second, pad wear is faster. I got this kit and installed it at the end of August 2012, and it's now January 2013 and I'm already looking at a replacing the pads. Stock brakes would usually last me a year before I had to think about it.
Still, it's a noticeable difference that I'm pleased with, and I would recommend it.
This was an easy install, and gave me the extra power I needed. I drive up a very steep hill on a daily basis and the extra airflow allows the engine to breath easier towards the top increasing my fuel economy. I've seen a 2 to 3 MPG gain, which in Hawaii is huge.
The sound from the intake is nice as well, though it's mostly a sound in the car and not outside of the car. WOT is where the power gains on this intake are really noticed. The power band kicks in at about 4200 RPM with my Fusion, and before the upgrade there was a severe lag with the stock intake. After the upgrade, I noticed that the lag is significantly decreased, and you feel the the extra horsepower kicking in at 4200 RPM. I'm looking to flash the PCM to get rid of the remaining lag.
All in all, this is a great upgrade, and took about an hour as expected to install. The instructions were easy to read, and everything matched the descriptions they provided. I've read people mentioning about the green clip not being there on the vent hose, and found that myself. Though it's not a case of the instructions being inaccurate, its that the color fades and turns the clip white.
This is now my second K&N Filter, and my first K&N intake, and I'm very pleased. I would highly recommend this intake for anyone looking for a different sound and a little extra power.
It seems to me that the previous posters are quite obviously not 360 owners, or just don't know about the reason why it's a companion CD and not a compilation CD.
In addition to the songs included with the CD, one also get's three additional songs to be downloaded via Xbox Live. For $10 you get what amounts to a song pack that usually runs 500 Xbox Live Points (value $6.25), with a copy of the songs from the game that you can listen to when you don't have your console readily available to you to play them.
Yes a lot of people will have these songs already in their music collections. So what it really boils down to for these people is, do you want to pay for a song pack and a couple of songs that you could otherwise download from iTunes (Curses be to Apple), or do the "illegal" route (down with the DMCA & RIAA) and BT them?
Either the way the value is not meant for Wii and PS3 owners to determine, but for 360 owners!
What can I say about HALO? It's the best game that you will play, hands down! HALO is full of suspense, will keep you on edge, and definitely requires some good combat tactics. The AI in this game is the best I have ever seen. Not since Tenchu, has a game had a better AI. Graphics? HALO makes full use of the nVidia GPU in the xBox. I really like the fact that you can't horde weapons too. Makes you work a little, but that's half the fun. If you have an xBox, why didn't you buy this game first? Planning to get one, don't forget HALO!...Read more
