Deep Blues ~ Ronnie Earl
Deep Blues ~ Ronnie Earl
5.0 out of 5 stars Nobody better, October 10, 2010
Ronnie Earl can match chops with anybody. He can also play as soulfully. I don't have one "favorite" guitarist, but Mr. Earl would make the short list. The Broadcasters are an extraordinary band. Highest recommendation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best New Band, October 10, 2010
This evolution of the Bluegrass leaning "Lovell Sisters" band is exquisite. Jessica and Megan Lovell write unique songs influenced by Jazz/Rock/Pop/Country and more. The Mandolin and Dobro are still featured instruments, and Bluegrass is in there somewhere, but this EP, as well as it's predecessor "Spring" take us places no one has before. Both EP's , taken togehter , will make my top ten this year without a doubt. I'm betting the next two EP's will be extraordinary also. Highest recommendation.

4.0 out of 5 stars Loretta is tough to cover, October 10, 2010
Don't get me wrong. The CD is a great listen. Jerry Miller's guitar work is superb. Eilen hits the notes just fine, and she has a lovely voice. The only thing that keeps me from giving this 5 stars is, well, it's just not Loretta. It is worth the price of admission though. Recommend it.
