IT TAKES A CORPORATION to Raise a Child by Sarina M. Singhi
4.0 out of 5 stars Some truth, some fiction, January 21, 2013
Ms. Singhi's book really does seem to carry a bit of prophecy, as more than 10 years after she completed it, people are jumping from weather balloons for Red Bull, having babies on YouTube, and didn't some woman auction off the right to name her baby via eBay? It's a look at a dystopian future, and one woman's attempt to escape. Now that was the truth.

The fiction? Sarina-dear, Deena didn't finish her Ph.D. after you left, because just as Homer Venters and you did, she figured out she could get out and save the world quicker if she left too. Take care of yourself, hon.

Four stars because there should be a Kindle (or even a Smashwords) version.

5.0 out of 5 stars Workhorse of a diaper bag, November 1, 2012
I have had this diaper bag for over three years. It's been to 8 U.S. states and 3 Asian countries. It's been violated by TSA, and thrown about in planes, cars, vans, buses, jeepneys, tuktuks, and boats. It's been to daycare daily. It's been everywhere from below sea level to 4000 ft. elevation. And I am *still* using it. It is incredibly roomy, with plenty of pockets for bottles, diaper cream, cell phones and lipstick. (6 elastic mesh pockets in the main compartment, 3 mesh elastic pockets in the front zippered pocket, 2 elastic edged pockets on either end of the outside) The front zippered pocket fits a Samsung Galaxy tablet *perfectly*.

The flat bottom means it conveniently… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap kitchen worker!, October 30, 2012
I love this little electronic appliance. It was the cheapest one at a local brick-and-mortar store, and we debated whether cheaper was the way to go, or whether it would be worth it to invest in a more expensive dishwasher. The problem is, we live in an area of incredibly hard water, and without a water softener (another expensive appliance), all dishwashers break down within 2-3 years. So, we went with cheaper, thinking that it would be worth it in the money saved.

It works just as well as an expensive one. I love that there's a child-lock button on this particular model. It takes longer than the recommended 5-seconds to activate it though. Maybe more like 15 seconds of… Read more
