Satechi's USB Portable Humidifier provides a soothing and relaxing environment wherever you are. It can be used in your home, your car, your office - anywhere there is a USB plug. That means an external battery can power this if you are camping!

It is a cold humidifier so it cools instead of heats and it turns off after eight hours automatically. I use it in the bedroom with a small solution of Pine Scent and then plug the USB into a standard Apple DC outlet adapter. I just don't have a computer in my bedroom. No big deal. Even a battery would work with a USB output.

Powerful Grip On Both Ends!, June 16, 2013

The suction worked very well on this device. This will work on a dashboard or on a windshield. Some states like California and Washington, D.C. made it illegal to place any mounts on windshield. However, I was able to place the sticky suction on my uneven dashboard, flip the housing switch and the mount became absolutely solid. The expandable cradle held my iPhone (it works with many similar phones like the Galaxy note) very securely. There was no concern there.

FRIEQ states that the stickiness will return after washing off dust or dirt, but I'll have to see how long that lasts. There is also a more permanent mount included that you attach to your dashboard that acts as a… Read more

Solid and Easy, But Not Totally Secure, June 16, 2013

I was surprised at how well the suction worked on this device. Some states like California and Washington, D.C. made it illegal to place any mounts on windshield. I was able to place the sticky suction on my uneven dashboard, flip the housing switch and the mount became absolutely solid. The cradle (which is detachable) held my iPhone (it works with many similar phones) but the suction on the back felt like it wouldn't last. In fact, I wished the cradle had some kind of stiff holder for more security. Then it would be held by two sources.
