I ordered two of the 2TB models for my Brother for Christmas. He got the from me early. One was fine out of the box. I gave him the second one on the 8th. He just opened it and went to use it today and it started making a weird noise we had never heard before. He has 4 of these drives 2 1TB and 2 2TB. It wouldn't show up on his computer. He tried a USB cable from one of the other drives and it still wouldn't show up. After looking online and finding the same noise we found out that it's a seized spindle. It's not in it's box to be send back to Amazon for a replacement. I don't know how long it's going to take for them to send me a replacement. The defective one is being picked up Monday… Read more
