Refactoring HTML: Better Late than Never

9:37 PM PST, February 1, 2008
Wow. Looking back at my old posts, I see that I was expecting that Refactoring HTML was going to be out last summer. Pretty obviously it didn't make it. The technical reviewing on this book took a lot longer and was much more thorough than I expected. By the time that was done, I had taken a day job (The Horror! The Horror!) which slowed down matters still further.

Nonetheless I have now sent off the final draft for copy edits, and with just a little luck I hope this will meet the new deadline of May, 2008 in time for JavaOne. Hope to see you then!

Crossing the Country

11:18 AM PST, January 21, 2008
Much to my surprise (not to mention my wife's and cats') this confirmed New Yorker will be moving to Orange County, California at the end of the week for at least a year. I hope this will afford me the opportunity to meet some new folks, go to technical meetups, and learn some new things.

Although it will probably take me or month or two to get settled in, after that I'll be available to talk to user groups, university classes, and the like on various subjects XML and Java related. If you're somewhere in the San Diego--L.A.  corridor and are looking for speakers, drop me a line. I hope to meet some of you in person over the coming months.
