What a concise look at the history of fashion. It is amazing, the number of images included in this beautiful large-scale book, which I had never before seen. The iconic pieces are included, but these images are fresh and stunning. It really is a must for any fashion library.

It's on my Holiday list as the coffee table book of the season if not the year. No one quite knows how to bring us into the world of fashion, chronicle it and have our hearts racing with smashing, insightful commentary and truly adept fashion photographic editing like Cameron Silver. As one of the pre-eminent purveyors of vintage, Cameron Silver has delivered a superb editorial take on twentieth-century fashion. Showcasing over 100 years, obviously by the decades, Cameron's first person writing style and genius photo editing, in a thoroughly modern style, make this a must have collectible for any fashion lover. Now add it to your wish list. Better yet, indulge and get it for yourself. It takes a special voice and talent to take you through a century of fashion in style. Cameron Silver is the only one who could pull it off with such wit,know-how and love. Nancy Jane (NJ) Falk, Founder & Editor-in-Chief of TheBlondeAndTheBrunette.com

I thought I had seen every important fashion image by now-- wrong. This book is packed with so much beauty, intelligence, and great story-telling-- both hilarious and highly emotional, I found it addictive. Not 'another fashion book' by any means, the way the mesmerizing Mr. Silver takes you by the hand to, say, Princess Irene Galitzine's bedroom in Rome, unchanged for decades and deliriously undiscovered, to the modern day boudoir of the so-chic and boom-boom sexy Dita Von Tease, through a re-education in Style that goes nose-bleed high and Hollywood down low, as only he can do... Mr. Silver is the fashion companion anyone would rather sit next to anywhere, anytime. Read this book and you'll see why!

This book was a lovely surprise, the size and quality make it an outstanding addition to anyone's fashion library or coffee table! It is a great resource for me since I do fashion presentations with my personal collection of vintage clothing and accessories. I can also see fashions over the past 100 years for information to use on my Etsy shop, etsy.com/shop/ladywithapast. I am downsizing my very large personal collection of vintage and highly reccommend this book!

This is a beautifully written book full of wonderful images. I've alway been curious about the author Cameron Silver as he pops up online in various over the top ensembles. This doesn't disappoint...there are brains and solid fashion know-how behind tbe insanity. I'm giving one to my daughter, a budding fashionista, as a gift, and keeping one on our coffee table at home.

This wonderful book thoroughly details the 20th century fashion. There are many fashion icons in this book such as Jackie O and Cindy Crawford. This book is a must read for any fashionata, hipster, sophisticate, or any wise person interested in the workings and history of fashion. I advice such people to RUSH to Amazon and order! This book is so WORTH IT!

Big book filled with old fashion photography. It has commentary-nothing new, little original, but at least the author parses in English, not fashionbabblespeak. If this book has a point-other than to make the author a few bucks-I've missed it. Book arrived this a.m., already in donation pile to local library.
