I was not extremely disturbed when I received my product. As stated "Flints, Card of 6" and I received 6 Flints. I did not feel as if I was robbed. :-)

I have a very special Zippo Lighter that was given to me as a gift many, many years ago and there is not a day goes by that I do not not use it and could not find the proper Zippo flints for it in stores. With the wonderful help of Amazon.com, I was able to order a whole box of the Zippo flints which arrived at my house in only a couple of days. My special Zippo Lighter is back to working properly and I now have plenty of Zippo flints and know where to order more!

This is one of those items that's either 1 star or 5 stars. There's just not really any middle room.

And seeing as how my zippo works again, I assume it deserves 5 stars.

Title says "Zippo Flint Cards (6 Flints per Card, Pack of 24)" I received one flint card! Not a pack of 24. They should rename the title to "One flint card (6 flints per card)" and take down the picture of the 24 pack of flint cards. I uploaded a picture of what I received in the mail. Hopefully this will better enlighten others when purchasing this product. .

Original ZIPPO brand replacement flints, a package of 6. Tuck a couple of spare replacement flints into your ZIPPO.

Here's how--lift up the felt cover pad as if to add lighter fluid and just tuck the flints into the cotton. And you're set.

There are folks who salvage flints out of disposable Bic and Scripto type disposable lighters and use those in their ZIPPOs, but the disposables supposedly use a different and harder material flint which over time will damage the sparking wheel of your ZIPPO. Just FYI. Although in some castaway survival situation it's interesting to know.

Not much more to say about these flints. ZIPPO quality.
You don't have to smoke to love a good ZIPPO.

Hope this is helpful. Happy trails, everybody.

I was one of the not-unfortunate ones (and I choose my words carefully there) that received the advertised amount of flints. When buying this product, it's a gamble. There are the people who, as have reviewed this, did not receive the advertised amounts of Zippo flints. Obviously it's a common problem, and therefore you should know that you're taking a risk trying to get this good deal. While I'd say you have a good chance of receiving the correct amount, there is the percentage that do not get the correct amounts, and it is possible for you to be one of those. Aside from that, the flints work great, and for about $11, you have about 6 lifetime's worth of flints for someone who strikes their Zippo as a nervous habit/compulsively, so for normal use, I'd say each packet or two should last you a lifetime, so you can make some of your fellow Zippo owners very happy with a gift of a lifetime of flints.

Package contains 6 fint pieces and one flint tool (exactly as is pictured for this product). About 5 dollars cheaper than buying from zippo.com, I would buy again. I probably will not buy again, because there is another product on amazon that, for about the price of 2 of these products, gives you 3 packs of 6 flints as well as 3 wicks, an incredible deal.

I had a flint swell up and jam a Zippo so badly I could not spin the wheel. The Zippo had sat for years brand new, but unused. Apparently flints absorb moisture and swell up.

The only way to get the flint out was to ream it out with a number drill from my drill index that closely fit into the flint tube. Flints measure out to be .0965", so a number 41 or 42 drill will clean out the flint tube nicely, without damaging the lighter in the slightest. The flint will turn to powder and fall out.

Being in a hurry, I foolishly bought some generic flints at a liquor store. The Zippo would not light worth a darn. I extended and trimmed the wick, filled it with genuine Zippo fluid and spun the wheel till my thumb was sore, all to no avail. It just would not work. It's really discouraging to have to light one's Zippo with a Bic.

Upon closer examination, the generic flints produced a very weak spark. So I ordered some genuine Zippo gold flints. Wow. Those babies produce sparks like there's no tomorrow! Lights first time, every time, as is proper for a Zippo.

If your Zippo won't light, get genuine Zippo flints. They come in a nice dispenser, too, and are not expensive.

Key words on the package: 6 "Genuine" Flints. Accept no substitutes.

If you don't go through flints very often, though, it might be a good idea to store the unused flints in a dry, airtight plastic bag or container.

I paid $2.68 for 6 flints as an add-on item. That's great at about 45 cents a flint. A single flint will last me anywhere from 4-6 months, so at worst I've got enough flints for two years, and at best I've got enough to last for 3 years.

I know you have also to pay for lighter fluid for Zippo lighters, but in my opinion they're more still more cost effective than Bic lighters, and they're better for the environment.

A 12 oz can of fluid currently costs just under $9, you can buy a pack of flints for $2.68, and a new Zippo costs about $10. So for a total cost of $21.68 you have a lighter for life, flints for at least 2 years, and fluid for at least 1 year (depends on your usage of course). Where I live you might be able to get 16 or more Bic lighters for that price, those last about a month a piece, maybe (for me at least). But then all of that nonrecyclable plastic also winds up in a landfill somewhere.

Then again, I've seen youtube vids where some creative teenagers manage to refill their Bics, so there's some food for thought.

One star is even too much. Don't order this, you never know, how many flints you'll receive! Better get them somewhere else.
