We got this toy as an airplance travel distraction, and my daughter thought it was the best thing in the world... Until she lost it during the trip. We bought it again for her 3rd birthday, and she is still playing with it. It is one of her favorite toys at the moment, along with the Diego and Boots dolls.

On second thought, I should have given Dora 5 star rating for educational value because it was very helpful during our trip to talk about maps and where we were going next. I love Dora, too!

I'm breaking out of my comfort zone here (I usually ONLY review books, movies and music) to review a toy I recently purchased for my daughter (this is the first of potentially 5 reviews). My daughter (who is 2) is IN LOVE with Dora and Diego. She already has a few Dora dolls (not to mention a bedspread) but I just couldn't resist these little Ty dolls.

I actually really like the size. She can stuff all five of her dolls in her Dora Backpack and take them around the house with her. I won't let her sleep with Dora or Diego yet (as some have mentioned, the hair is kind of scary in that it looks like it could easily come out) but she has enough other dolls (Boots for one) to sleep with.

Yes, I gave it only four stars on durability since the ware and tear of a toddler can do some damage. Boots already is separating at the seams on his legs, so I had to get onto my little one for pulling at his legs. No, his legs are not falling off, but I can tell that they are getting weak. So, just watch your little ones to make sure they don't `love these little guys to death'.

If your kids love Dora you can rest easy knowing that they will LOVE these dolls as well!

And a note to parents, these toys are NOT educational; but the show is VERY much so (my kids speaks Spanish! Like, OMG, I don't speak a word and she converses with me in Spanish at TWO YEARS OLD!!!).

My daughter loves this little Dora doll. She takes it everywhere with her since it fits in all her bags. The doll is palm size but it's great for Dora the Explorer lovers.

My daughter loves Dora and Diego. The beanie baby is the perfect size for her (3 years old). I would definitely recommend it for your Dora Fan.

Hello All,

I bought this doll as a gift for my daughter. i am so disappointed after opening the box and looking at the doll first time, i just logged in to write the review.
I was expecting a bigger doll for the price, we get much better doll in target, walmart for lesser or same price. Also the face of the doll, does not look like Dora. I will let you know what my daughter's reaction is once i travel back.

I will try and upload some pictures, the length of the doll is smaller than my wrist watch.
Don't buy this doll. Hope this helps.

The doll is smaller than I expected, but totally my fault for not reading the complete description. The one star rating that someone gave because of its size is unfair; the size of the doll is on the description.

I also ordered a Dora Backpack and the doll fits inside it, so they kind of go with each other. My niece can carry her doll inside the backpack.

My daughter is a small (3 yr old) Dora fan, she loves this doll. It's small enough for her to carry it everywhere she goes. I love its small form factor, does not take much space wherever it's needed to keep my daughter engaged.
Go for it, small enough to be with your kid all the time and durable enough to survive their love...

MY 11 MONTH GRANDDAUGHTER LOVES DORA THE EXPLORER, THE HAIR CONCERNS ME A LITTLE, I'M AFRAID SHE WILL PULL IT OUT. AS FOR EDUCATIONAL, NOTHING I CAN SEE WILL HELP WITH EDUCATION. NO BUTTONS ETC. IT IS A PLAY TOY AND THAT IS WHY I BOUGHT IT, AND THAT IS WHAT SHE DOES WITH IT!

My 2 year old daughter loves this doll. She is very cute. Within a minute of having her, she asked, "where is the map???" I made her a small map and put it in the backpack and she was happy.
