When I received these pads I found their quality to be okay and the fit was pretty good. I use the elastic sleeve instead of just putting the Velcro straps on. That keeps them in place much better if you fall.

The problem with these pads is that if you fall while moving, the edge of the pad will catch the pavement and slide the pad up your knee/arm so that you have no protection just when you need it most.

The first time I though I just didn't have them on tight enough. The second time I realized what happened and looking closer at the pad I could see how the pavement ground the edge of the pad down, pulled it off my arm and now I'm nursing two huge raspberries on my elbows.

They might protect you from falling straight down, but if you slide on the pavement these pads are not going to work for you.

These pads were exactly what I was hoping for...they look cool, feel good, and fit right! We have had a hard time finding the right size for my 8 year old son, so he never wanted to "gear up." The little kid pads we have had are usually just velcro straps that pinch and itch. THIS pad set slips on, then tightens with velcro straps. Much better quality. These looked like they might be the right size, but it would be helpful for non-sports moms (like me) to have an age range AND size range (height/weight)for the gear. Awesome!

This is the second set I have purchased of these in 3 years. I play roller derby and am real rough on them but they hold up well and had great protection where you need it for a reasonable price.

Our son, who is into various rollersports, is on the skinny side. Most 'youth' products are either mismatched sizes (elbows too big, knees too small, etc.) or are either very inferior products that wouldn't provide protection if you bumped your not-so-funny bone. These are definitely a higher quality product with the plastic caps being large enough to protect the intended areas.
With is mom on a roller derby league, she knows appropriate protective gear. These provide it.
The horseshoe gaskets would also be a good idea to avoid pinch points.

This set works great, I use them for roller derby. I like how the wrist guards have a hard protective bump on the palm, so when I fall it's better protection/shock absorber. The knee pads protect my knees so well, I could fall all day, and my knees wouldn't feel a thing. The set even came with a mesh bag to transport them.

happy w/ purchase.
use it for landboarding on beach.
took some abuse & it still holds together.

fits fine a 200lbs man
though I'd order x-lg so knee pads would comfortably velcro completely on top when worn over jeans (in colder weather). I can completely velco but after some time of activity needs loosening.

during summer will be no problems if applied over bare skin.

We got the Junior size based on what we read. My boy just turned 10, and he's average height, but very thin. The pads could barely get pulled on, and are so uncomfortable that he won't wear them.

I ordered these after using some cheap stuff I bought from a local sports store. The fact that the elbow and knee pads actually have sleeves on them makes a world of difference. They stay nice and snug in place. They were a little uncomfortable at first but after using them twice or so they seem to have worn in just fine. Movement is not restricted at all while wearing this gear, I use them to inline skate and they work perfectly. Highly recommended.

I bought these in the junior size for my 8 year old son to use with his scooter and ramp. They are good quality and fit well. When I ordered the sizing wasn't very clear, but the junior set is perfect for him. He doesn't mind wearing them, which is key since we have made it clear that no pads is not an option.

I like these pads, they are very comfortable, protect well and serve their purpose. The only problem I had with these was trying to figure out sizing. Being unisex I wasnt' sure how big/small they would run and there are no size guidlines. I am a woman, 5'5, average build/weight. I got the medium, and while they look a little big they fit great. I got them for roller skating, not hard core jumps and such, just casual skating. I did a few practice falls and they worked great. A lot of padding and stayed put. I haven't fallen while skating yet, so I'm not sure how well they would be but they don't seem to slip and ar pretty snug, so I think they will do just fine!
