I did a lot of research on scooters before purchasing this on for my newly three year old. She wanted a scooter very much, so that she could be just like her 11 year old big sister. The problem was stability; most scooters either have two wheels (one in front, one in back) or three wheels (with TWO in back). Even with two in back, the scooters tend to wobble and tip. Not a good thing for a young rider.

Radio Flyer (of course!) solved the problem beautifully. They put the two wheels in front and gave the scooter a much wider base. The result is that this scooter is incredibly strong, stable, and safer than the competition. It comes fully assembled, and my young one was riding around on our back deck in a matter of moments.

This pink version is perfect for our little princess. And I can already tell, she is going to spend the summer chasing her big sister around the neighborhood. Luckily, big sister is okay with that!

We bought this for our 4 year old last Christmas. She loves to goof off on it around the house. But will not ride it the full block, much less to the park. It does not roll or turn as easily as she would like. (By contrast, she flies on her bike.)

Probably great for 2 or 3 year old beginners. Decent stability in that regard. But we're not impressed for the 4 to 5 year old set.

My daughter is turning 3 in a couple of weeks and wants a scooter for her birthday. I was looking for a sturdy, 3 year old safe, girly scooter. I found this one and have read so many good reviews about it. We tried it out at Walmart and it is awesome. Very cute and sturdy and she loved it. It's in hiding until her birthday.

FYI - I was baffled by the range in sticker price for the toy. I have seen prices from $29-$69 for this scooter. I bought a pink scooter at Walmart for $29.84. It took 3 Walmarts but I found one just today. Happy scooting!

It does not go at all! My 3 years old daughter can hardly move it forward, even if she did make it , the scooter stops shortly. So she just stands on it. I guess it's because this scooter has 3 rolls instead of 2, which give it more stability but much less flexibility. Anyway my daughter is very dissapointed and so am I. My daughter refused to try it anymore. We have to return it. So please save your money and time, buy a regular one.

Hi,

My mom purchased this scooter for my 3 year old daughter. Initially, we were thrilled as it seemed to balance well, however as she has gotten more confident on the scooter, we noticed that it does not turn but tips over, when she is turning at the end of the street (big wide turns). Aside from the steering being locked, there is no way to steer it with leaning, so unless you are going straight than this scooter stinks. Secondly, the wheels are plastic (as is the whole scooter) and feels cheap. I think if you are planning to have your kids ride quite a bit on a scooter it may be worth it to invest in a one that is more sturdy and allows them to steer safely.

We bought this scooter for our daughter's 2nd birthday. She absolutely loves it and has a great time chasing after her big brother on it. The only thing I do not like about it is that there is no turning radius (the reason I gave it 4 stars). It is really only good for riding up and down the sidewalk - my daughter has to get off of it and turn it around herself to get it to go another direction. She doesn't seem terribly bothered by it at this point but I am sure she will at some point. Other than that, I think it is a great product and would highly recommend it.

Horrible. Can't turn. Trying to turn makes it tip over. Because steering is so hard and makes you fall, this scooter is a lot more difficult to ride than a 2 wheeler. It's a terrible choice for anyone but especially for a little one who's supposed to learn to ride a scooter on this thing.

This was bought for our little girls 3rd birthday because it is pink. Her older brothers have real razors and for a while she would try to use their old Diego scooter (until it was stolen). So she has a model and is motivated to do what they do.
This scooter is front heavy, and I do not find it any more stable (for a 3 yr. old) than the old Diego scooter with two back wheels.

I wish I had bought the huffy or razor jr. because she will outgrow this one very soon. This would have been perfect at 2. But then, at 2 she was playing with the her brothers old huffy scooter.
To sum up: Less coordinated/new to razors - buy whatever.
More experienced - buy the huffy or razor.

First the good...the scooter is pink and appears sturdy. The turn radius is very limited and it does not roll very easily, features that gave us parents a significant comfort level.
Then the bad... the turn radius is very limited and it does not roll very easily. Our kids, daughter (4) and son (2), quickly got frustrated because they were not able to keep up with their sibling riding a tricycle or just walking. My son will not even try this scooter anymore eventhough he loves riding a community playthings scooter in daycare.

Overall it was a waste of money.

I was very weary over buying a scooter for my 4 year old (call me silly, call me whatever you want to cal me) but my daughter is not a dare devil and so I was apprehensive about getting her a scooter. This is a great scooter for her because its clunky and she feels somewhat secure and it has actually helped her get her nerve up a little. She has become more coordinated while using it and I would reccommend this product for someone who has a timid child who is not a dare devil.
