I got this hamper cause I liked the two separate sides for splitting up my clothes, and it looked like it had enough room to hold it all. I should have payed more attention to the dimensions I guess but it is a bit smaller than I expected. Also the tent style posts that you can remove to collapse the hamper are not very secure. They just kind of sit in a small loop of material that loosely folds over them, making it difficult to move the hamper without the posts coming out and the hamper collapsing.

This hamper is not huge, but it's good enough if you're single or a couple without kids who does laundry often. It's really nice looking, so I'd say for the price I'm pretty pleased with it.

I read another reviewer's comments that the poles poke out of the side and the top collapses. Then someone else wrote that the first reviewer simply didn't set it up right. Well, turns out the second guy was either a paid reviewer or hadn't had it long enough to see this collapsing effect. It's annoying, but not the end of the world.

Overall - 3 stars due to the weekly frustration of having to reconstruct it. If the manufacturer would fix this problem, I'd buy a new one for sure. I love it aside from this flaw.

I have noticed many, many reviews about the frame collapsing or the poles not fitting. I initially had the same problem and it was only after about a month that I noticed that there is in fact in each corner, an opening to a little pocket sewn in along the entire height of the hamper on all four sides. It is REALLY difficult to see so look CAREFULLY. At the very top, lift up the flap that sticks to the velcro piece - the velcro piece sewn onto the sides is black in my hamper. ABOVE this black velcro you will find that there is more fabric that is NOT sewn closed at the very top. Those poles go into that pocket and goes all the way down the side. The pole has a little cap so you need to fiddle with it to make it sit all the way in. Then fold down the flap onto the velcro. No collapsing, all hidden. BEAUTIFUL. Great size - I have two active boys with lots of dirty clothes and they fit. We do laundry weekly. I bought two of them - one for my husband and I and one for the boys. I am very pleased with the product. I did not plan to cart them to the laundry room - just to collect dirty laundry in the bathroom and bedroom. So I am sure the hamper will stay upright forever. Just wish the manufacturers would include clear instructions!!

I got this and overall it's ok. People have mentioned the size is an issue. I can see that it would be an issue for a family. I'm a single young guy and got into the habit of doing a load or two each weekend. It was big enough to get me through the week, so it works under these conditions.

Other people have mentioned that it sags or falls down. This has never been the case for me. However, what DID happen is the four posts that make up the four corners are too weak. They were hollow plastic, and on the times when I missed doing laundry and overloaded this thing, the weight of my clothes was too much for the plastic to hold up. They started bending and just couldn't handle it.

For $2, I went down to Home Depot and grabbed some 1/4" solid wood cylinders, and now it's quite stable and can take the weight if necessary.

So, it's just ok. It works. It looks nice. But it will only work for one who does laundry at least once a week and may require some cheap modifications to make it more stable.

Disclaimer: this is not a good hamper for a family laundry room. It is perfect for one person or a couple. However, if purchased by a 3+ person family, my suggestion would be to put this in a bedroom or a bathroom to collect clothes instead of letting them pile up on the floor. Using this as a common repository will result in overflow very quickly.

Personally, I love the size. It easily tucks away into my bedroom closet, and measurements show that it would fit into my bathroom linen closet as well. Ultimately, it comes down to your size preference. If you are looking for something compact, this is a good choice. It's definitely apartment-friendly. However, if you need volume, don't waste your money because you will NOT be happy.

The fabric is a double winner for me. 1) It protects the clothing inside from accidental snags or stains from anything brushing up against it, and 2) it is easier to clean than any other hamper I have owned. The vinyl interior can be wiped down, and on the flip side, it won't absorb anything that happens to be on your dirty clothes.

There is a drawstring mesh top on each side of the hamper so you can close off each compartment when it is full or when you want to move it. And it prevents those mischievous socks from escaping if your laundry has started to pile up. ;)

Some people have noted problems with the sturdiness of the hamper, but I have never had issues. I have also had some very busy work weeks where my laundry has piled up and the hamper has been absolutely stuffed. Additionally, mine has been moved around quite a bit. Hopefully getting one of a good quality isn't a roll of the dice, but mine has been pretty solid.

After two months of use, I can say that it is everything I expected. However, if problems occur, I will update.

This would be a very nice hamper, but they skimped on the rods that hold it upright. It only has a piece of Velcro for each corner to try and keep the rods in place so that the hamper does not collapse. But the thin rods constantly poke past the Velcro and the hamper is constantly collapsing. Such a poor way to cut corners, if they only sewed in 4 pockets to hold rods in place, the hamper could stay upright.

I bought this item because it was the only one that would fit in the space I have in the bathroom. The quality is nice, it comes folded and it is easy to set up. 2 cons: the packaging was way too big and there is no cover. I knew there was no cover when I bought it but I realize it is a nice to have.

After reading many comments about this hamper collapsing, I was nervous to order it. But I figured, if it doesn't work I can send it back. A lot of the reviewers are correct that the tent poles fall out of place easily (on the bottom) and the hamper collapses. I thoroughly looked for any loops or grooves or something to put the bottom tent pole into to hold it in place, but there was absolutely, positively nothing. There is a velcro piece for the top of the tent pole, but nothing for the bottom.

FIX: about and 1-1/2 to 2-inches from the inside-bottom, I cut a horizontal slit in the fabric piece that runs up & down the height of the bag. Note the slit DID NOT go through the bag fabric itself, only that 1-inch wide fabric piece that runs along the inside. With that slit, I was able to insert the bottom of the tent pole in between the two pieces of fabric which got it to stay in place, plus the use of the top velcro piece for the top of the tent pole.

This is something that shouldn't have to be done, the manufacturer should have had something already in place, hence a 4-star rating. Otherwise, this hamper seems pretty good after only a few days of use; it's light-weight and serves its purpose.

I purchased 3 of these hampers for the house because we needed a serious dirty laundry storage solution, and I liked that it looks tall with a reasonable depth (our bathroom is narrow so I wanted something that would not get in the way). I was attracted to the neutral color scheme and lights/darks dual design but quickly realized this really does NOT matter when you need a free space to toss the next worn garmet in... It was very easy to put together so for that I give a star. But the main reason I can only give it an average 3 stars is because it is not convenient to carry laundry in this hamper from the 3rd floor of the house to the 1st floor to the washer/dryer. I ended up pulling dirty laundry out of these hampers to relocate them to more portable mesh hampers purchased from the dollar store just to carry them downstairs. Perhaps if they added a durable carry strap of some sort I would be happier. Sellers should drop the cost on these.

I'd actually give this 4.5 stars...

I would've liked it more if the labels appeared on both sides, so that darks can be on the left side and whites can be on the right side if the hamper is turned around. But that's just me being picky. :)

Overall, the product is durable and does it's job of holding my dirty laundry without falling apart.
