My son loves Hiro. Not only are all of the branded Thomas wooden trains durable, this one is no different. My son loves the detail on the train and especially the facial expression of Hiro. Don't get your trains anywhere else, as amazon can easily save you a few dollars. If you child wants a new train, Hiro is definetly the way to go.

I don't know why this train was more expensive than others in the Thomas line, but unlike other Hiro trains I've seen, this one has a smiling face, and is the one my son has wanted. It came quickly in the mail, and he loves it!

My son has about 10 of the Thomas wooden railway series. He loves the trains. Hiro is his favorite engine. Hiro is more expensive than most of the others since this is actually two pieces - the engine and the tinder car.

These toys can be educational if you engage your child. My son has learned how steam trains work and what makes the train go down an incline by itself. He acts out scenes from the PBS shows and books.

These wooden trains are fairly durable. My son is pretty rough with them, as any 4 year old boy will be, and so far all we have is minor chipped paint. So far no wheels, magnets, or anything else has come off.

I don't know what is so special about Hiro, but he is my son's absolute favorite. As with all the trains in the Thomas line, this is a high-quality, mostly wooden train that is well-weighted for smooth rolling down the track.

This is another great Thomas engine. Hiro is exactly as described, and exactly as portrayed in the videos we've watched. So far he has survived being tossed around the house with no cracks or broken/stuck wheels.

This little train and car has offered my 2 yr old grandson many hours of entertainment. It appears to be well made and is easy for his small hands to handle. Definitely worth the money!

We love the smiling Hiro train. My son enjoys all his wooden Thomas & Friends trains. They are well made and allow a child to act out Thomas stories or make up their own story. A great toy.

My 4 year old son adores trains; among his favorites are the characters from "Thomas the Train." He inherited Hiro from his from his older cousin, so it's a few years old. It is a typical high quality "Thomas the Train" wooden train; well made and durable. After years of less than gentle treatment at the hands of two boys, the train is still in almost perfect condition, attesting to its superior quality. Hiro consists of two pieces, the engine and the tender. As with all the Thomas wooden trains, Hiro is compatible with wooden tracks by Chuggington, Brio, and Circo (the Target brand) all of which we own, in addition to the Thomas tracks.

I bought this for my 3 year old son who loves Thomas the Train and friends. We needed Hiro trackmaster to complete his set. It was discontinued. I could buy it for $85.00 but that was too much.

So we found wooden Hiro here on amazon for way cheaper than even in the stores. I got it in 2 days. Couldn't believe it.

My son loves him. He sleeps with him everynight. Made very well. I wish I would of started the wooden series instead of the trackmaster.

I got this for my nephew, who is only 3, and he loves it! The Thomas the Tank Engine products seem to be indestructible in the hands of my nephew. They can take a lot of abuse and are so far still in one piece. I’ve gotten him several of the Thomas products and they are all in good shape. I can’t really say that for the other things that come into his hands, he’s a little one man wrecking crew! This is a good choice for active little boys!
