The vinyl is nice and thick and the grommets are good quality. A very nice liner. There are no weights in this curtain, but that hasn't been a problem. It works great. I would buy it again.

This shower liner was supposed to be mildew resistant but it grew mildew in less than 4 months, and the mildew is very tough not washable.

This is a really heavy vinyl shower curtain. We got the frosted curtain liner and it is opaque enough that you could use it on it's own if you wished. I love that it doesn't cling to your body with static while you're in the shower, and is 100% waterproof. We use it behind out waffle weave cotton shower curtain and the curtain doesn't get wet at all. If you're opting for a fabric shower curtain I think this liner would really extend the curtain's lifespan. Yes - it smells when you first open the package - the way any vinyl product will smell when you first open it. I hung it in our shower with the bathroom windows open and the smell dissipated after a day or so.

This is a scam. What is not stated in the informational portion of the listing is how the liner becomes mildew free. On the packaging it states "100% Guaranteed Not To Mildew." Then on the back it states, in much smaller print, that the warranty is only good if the proper care instructions are followed. The proper care instructions state you must "wipe clean with sponge or cloth with a warm soapy mixture of anti-bacterial soap . . . this process should be repeated once a month" Gee whiz, IF I CLEAN THE ENTIRE SURFACE OF THE SHOWER CURTAIN ONCE A MONTH WITH ANTI-BACTERIAL SOAP, IT'S GUARANTEED NOT TO MILDEW. No kidding, but why would I need to spend twice as much for this liner if I'm doing all that work? Since the same care instructions would work on ANY plastic liner, this "guarantee" is worthless. Also, the warranty is only good for 15 months. My advice: buy something less expensive, spray with a mixture of three parts bleach to one part water when needed (a lot easier then sponging down), and replace the liner every 15 months.

This shower liner fits well and is nice and clear so light can get thru when I pull back the decorative curtain. It is also a nice length it doesn't drag on the shower base. It does smell a bit strong when you first put it up, but most vinyl liners have that chemical smell at first.

This product gives off a powerful noxious chemical smell. I ran it through the washing machine twice and let it hang outside for over 24 hours and I still developed a headache/lightheadedness any time I got near it. Not recommended if you care about your health.

I couldn't find anything in the product details that stated this curtain contained PVC, but I guess I should assume it unless there is something that specifically says it doesn't. From the moment I hung it, there was an intense "new vinyl" odor that I could even smell in adjacent rooms. Studies have shown this smell is toxic (google it) which is why I try not to buy products containing PVC anymore. It was so bad, I threw it out after a day, went to a store and bought a curtain that clearly stated it was made of PEVA.

Strong, dangerous chemicals in this shower curtain, Made my wife gag and made my nose burn for hours after we put it up. This prompted me to throw it out after one use (my wife refused to shower!). Man, I hate wasting money like that. Did you know that the EU has banned these phthalate curtains? They're very toxic: [...]

Many plastic products have the potential for off-gassing, that is, giving off an odor that can be permeate a room, or even an entire home. Sitting at my desk in my study, I can smell this shower curtain liner in the bathroom at the end of the hall. IT STINKS and actually smells to me like toxic chemicals. Indeed, the smell does makes me sick. We put it up two days ago, and for the last two days, I have awoken with sore throat and nasal congestion. (I threw it away just before writing this.) Beware: There are some bad chemicals in this product ... AVOID BUYING THIS ONE!

I quickly returned this shower curtain because of its strong industrial chemical smell. I cleaned it with soap & water then hung it up and left the window wide open all day but it continued to emit it's strong odor.
And so I neatly packed it up and returned it.

If you are so inclined, look-up: "the dangers of vinyl shower curtains" and "Chemical-Emitting Plastic" online.
