This battery looks and feels lighter than the OEM 1500mAh battery. I was skeptical about it really extending the life of the phone, but after following all the directions about conditioning the battery- it turned out great. On the initial charge, you should leave the phone on charge until the LED turns green, and leave it that was for at least 3 hours. This is a critical step which I feel most reviewers here skipped. I let mine charge all night before use. Then I went through 5 heavy drain and recharge cycles as per the instructions. Now, with normal charging and use, I take the Evo off charge at 6am, and at 7 pm I have between 30 and 40% life left. I am a heavy user, meaning WIFI on all day at work, GPS always on, Youtube for an hour or so, Google maps, LOTS of internet browsing (which is also part of my job and various other things. Additionally it is in a very warm environment, which is tough on batteries. My OEM battery would die everyday at about 3-4pm. If I run the phone hard until it dies on the Seidio battery, I can get about 14 hours of heavy usage from fully charged.

Pros: 40 bucks well spent (although the phone should have included this battery :)

Cons: SHIPPING FROM AMAZON!! It took 3 WEEKS............ WEEKS....... To get it in US Priority Mail. This was AMAZON.COM's fault 100%, as they failed to ship the battery for nearly two weeks after I paid for it. This is NOT excusable. When I called about the problem, I was told I should have paid for better shipping instead of taking advantage of their "Super Saver Shipping." Now why offer a service if the people offering it say that if you use it, you are the lowest priority customer? Thanks for nothing, Amazon.

Ok I am going to take the time to write this review for those of you who are thinking about purchasing this battery. I received mine yesterday and immediately put it in. On initial boot the battery was around 60 %, I then spend about 6 hours trying to kill the battery. At the time this seemed impossible , I had wifi , 4G , and bluetooth on. It took me 6 hours of music and game playing simultaneously to achieve a 15% warning and about 30-35 more minutes after that until the battery finally died. After that I let the battery charge overnight without disconnecting it even after the indicator turned green. I unplugged it today at 11am it is now 8pm and I have 16 % and that is after having pandora on for 2+ hours at the gym , some internet use , sprint tv and NFS Shift and basketball 3d and some poker and not to mention heavy texting obviously.I just got the 15% warning and this is only after the first full battery cycle. I can obviously tell the difference I am getting about 4-5 hours more of heavy use on this battery only after the first day. I would honestly recommend it to anybody with an EVO. I hate the stock battery life. After 2-3 hours of heavy use on the stock one my phone would be dead. I love it now , I dont have to worry about having my charger with me as much and can go out all night without having to worry about my phone dieng. I just checked my phone and its 9h 10m 2s uptime since being unplugged on moderate to heavy use something that is impossible on the stock battery.

I pre-ordered this battery before the Sprint HTC Evo 4G was even available. From past experience with four previous HTC smartphones, I knew that I would be wanting a second battery - if not a third and maybe even a fourth.

I've owned Seidio after-market batteries for each of my earlier HTC phones and, to tell you the truth, I have never been able to determine if they supplied any more power over a longer period than the stock battery. Personally I am not convinced they do. I don't know of any accurate tests of battery life for the consumer. I do know from my own experience with Seidio batteries on the HTC PPC 6800, Touch Pro and Touch Pro 2 that I didn't get any longer operating times than with the stock battery.

So far in a week of alternating the Seidio battery with supplied battery for the Evo, it has been the same experience: I don't see a longer operating time with the Seidio. Admittedly, my observations are not at all scientific. I inquired of Seidio once before with an earlier battery if they had any lab tests or something similar to back their battery capacity claims - and they did not.

In any event, the Seidio battery does last as long as the original and Seidio does stand behind their products, so at the end of the day I remain a customer, even if a suspicious one.

I was worried about the reviews before I ordered the battery. Well day one and I am trying to drain the battery after first night of fully charged. I used it all day using the internet, texting, calling, its 10:39pm writing this review. I currently have Bluetooth, wifi, 4G, GPS, brightness on high, no screen timeout, and the battery indicator is still on half. CRAZY. I will continue to fallow the instructions to receive the full benefits of the battery. Will keep posted on progress. I agree with this post; Heavy user, this battery does the job., August 31, 2010 "On the initial charge, you should leave the phone on charge until the LED turns green, and leave it that was for at least 3 hours. This is a critical step which I feel most reviewers here skipped. I let mine charge all night before use." I also agree it is a critcal step most reviewers may have skipped.

I have purchased many items from Amazon, but this is my first review ever. I bought this battery as most everyone knows the battery that comes with the HTC Evo is horrible. Out of the package I put the battery in the phone to drain it before giving it a full overnight charge (that took some work in itself). Well, two cycles later, this battery has made a huge difference. With moderate to heavy use, I can go twelve hours or longer with no problem. I wanted a longer life battery with out adding bulk and a new cover and this does the job just fine. If you're on the fence about getting this battery go ahead, you will not regret it. Don't know what the one star review folks are doing different, but this battery rocks!

I was hoping this battery would last longer than the standard battery in my Evo 4G. Unfortunately when I use it, my phone turns off on a regular basis. It's not a problem with the charge as it happens within less than an hour while the phone reports a full (or nearly full) battery. I've switched back to the stock battery and my troubles ended.

It worked at first, then it wouldn't hold its charge. I got this because i knew the evo drains the battery, but after a while it wouldn't hold its charge and i had to go back to the phone's standard battery. not worth it if you have to go back to the standard battery after a while.

I bought this battery about 3 weeks ago. I followed the advice given by Seidio, ie.. charge for more than 8 hrs, drain it out and charge 5 times. In the two weeks since I did this charge and drain routine, in my normal use patterns it has lasted way longer than the OEM battery shipped with the EVO. With the OEM, I would always have to charge at lunch and on the way home from work to make it thru a normal business day. With the Seidio, I can skip charging at lunch and on the way home and still have 20% battery left at end of the day!!

it worked well at first on my evo... but for some reason my evo just started turning off if it was jiggled even the smallest amount. i thougt it was the evo... never thought it could be the battery... turns out the 5 holes at the bottom that connects to the connectors on the phone itself are tooooo deep and it would loose connection if jiggled. i was very disappointed because it does last longer than the stock battery. but if its in your pocket and its off and you dont know it... what good is it?

Seidio Innocell 1750 mAh Slim Extended Life Battery for HTC EVO 4G. This battery is just okay. It was suppose to be better than the one that came with the phone but that is not true. It's just another battery that is the same as the one that came with the phone.
