For a leader class figure, this Bumblebee is as good as it gets with his appearance seen in Dark Of The Moon. I don't get why this figure is getting mixed reviews from fans. I think its a good figure, yes it can't compare with the Battle Ops Bumblebee, but its a good figure in its own right. Transformation is fairly simple. Robot mode is very nicely done. The alternate Camaro SS car mode looks very detailed, from the black rims to the black spoiler, just as how the car appeared in the movie. Car mode looks close to a 1/24 scale car model. A nice touch is the stealth force mode you can do in vehicle mode with the huge weapon it came with. All in all, this leader class Bumblebee from Dark Of The Moon is recommended for Transformers and Bumblebee fans! Check out my photos of this leader class Bumblebee I've added here at Amazon...

Dark of the Moon Mech Tech leader Bumblebee is a sweet addition for any transformer fans collection. This bad boy has more firepower than any enemy could handle.Bumblebee's Mech Tech weapon system is one big piece containing two six shot cannon guns on each side with a pulse blaster in the middle with target sighting. The weapon system does light up while making blaster and missle sounds.Bumblebee also has automatic conversion sounds as well. The weapon system fits on the back end of the camaro mode while being on his back in robot mode. The only drawback to having the weapon system on Bumblebee in robot mode is that it makes him back heavy,so you might have to lean him against something solid. The detail on the figure is excellent with the addition of a spoiler in vehicle mode. The transformation level is intermediate meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is mid-level difficulty. If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you might have to help some in the process.Honestly Bumblebee looks more difficult than he is to transform.Their are a few tricky parts that will become easier with time.In the beginning on the back behind Bumblebee's head you have to slide the part up which if you go ahead and position the roof part up first it is easier to do.It is three steps to fold up his feet to end up forming the back end of the camaro so make sure that the smaller size grey prong is folded underneath the foot. The other part is folding the arms just right to fit inside the car, just remember that the upper panels on his arms should be facing out,so the torso plate can snap into place underneath. The durability is outstanding to where Bumblebee is very solid for acting out battle scenes in either mode.I would like to have seen Bumblebee with realistic rubber tires, and the cannon/arm combo like on the Battle Ops Bumblebee but this is still an excellent figure overall. The poseability is very good ,but works better for robot mode without the Mech Tech system. There also is a third transformation only shown on the instructions where the arms flip out along the side to give Bumblebee a little more firepower in vehicle mode. The only other thing is between the torso plate underneath and the prongs folded up at the back end creates a little clutter on the underside in camaro mode. This Bumblebee isn't perfect, but is still an excellent figure overall.Bottom line Bumblebee is a high quality,well-made,10 out of 10 figure all fans should enjoy.I highly recommend Dark of the Moon Leader Bumblebee to all transformer fans and collectors alike.Transformers Rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Appearances can be deceiving. I bought this because it looked really awesome. but upon opening up and beginning to transform it, I came across difficulty with certain parts. The legs don't want to bend where they are supposed to and there is a small separation near the joints in the leg that will break if you force the leg to bend too hard. But then again, it won't bend unless you force it that hard. =.= Sliding the torso for transformation is a real pain, it's definitely hard to do. The cover of the right arm extends into a blade (I think that's what that is) but it doesn't click back into place and often falls limply with nowhere to go. It's a waste of money. :L Needless to say, it will remain in car form on my shelf for eternity. If I transform it one more time and try to get it to the correct posture (the legs) it will break. The plastic is easily stressed and becomes brittle.

Bumblebee is a very fun toy. At first, I couldn't get the back section and the the little pieces on the upper legs to line up. Then I realized that the nubs on his feet were supposed to go back, not forwards. That's why the educational value is a five star. The MechTech (mechanism technology) is massive. It also has five MechTech ports. Overall this is my masterpiece figure and way better than the deluxe Bumblebee that is only goes up to this Bumblebee's waist. I love this figure very much. I can't recommend him enough.

This figure is so good as good it gets with his appearance seen in Dark Of The Moon. Transformation isn't so simple, but isn't a problem. The plugins are great, both the car and the robot are very solid.

I bought this from Costco, not amazon, since it was a slightly better price. Bee takes quite a bit of patience to transform, although not nearly as much as the Optimus I got. The plastic pieces feel like they're about to snap. In fact, the first one I got was in bot mode and fell off a nightstand. When I retrieved it, Bee's arm had snapped clean off in a way that was impossible to repair. I swapped it out for a new one and figure I'll have to treat this one with kid gloves. They sure don't make these like they did when I was a kid (nor as tough as they appear in the movies!). Once transformed as bot or car, it's a very realistic model, so I'm glad to have it in my collection.

this toy is great. the weapons pack makes it a little back heavy, but if you fiddle with it for a while it stands perfectly. when i bought it i was worried when i heard about the review were the toys leg snapped off. that person must have used a lot of force. the transformation is pretty easy. overall this bumblebee toy in my opinion is the best bumblebee. p.s. it also scales perfectly with the rotf leader prime and the dotm leader ironhide
