Just got one of these in a giveaway, and it is one awesome little speaker. I've had a few other portable speakers; granted they were both under $30, but this speaker blows them away(much cleaner sound). It gets much louder while still sounding good, and the bass is pretty good for a tiny speaker. It is pretty easily driven by my ipod touch (75-80%) to fill my room with sound. I also plugged it in through my icon mobile, put a little more oomph into it, and it still sounded nice. The input cable is around 4 in long and tucks underneath the speaker when not being used. It comes with a charging cable that doubles as an extension cord for the input, and a nice little pouch for storage/travel. The built in rechargeable battery is probably my favorite part (no more getting new batteries). The battery charges through a usb cable in an hour or two and lasts for 8-12 hours. The only thing I could maybe find wrong with it is that I would like a little thicker cable for the input. Either way, this is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone. Thanks Spider

Sounds pretty good... plenty loud... decent bass response (can actually be heard & felt)... sleek attractive appearance... nice grippy soft rubber base pads... incredible 24+ hours life on a single charge... 3 connectivity options: (mini USB port/3.5mm female jack/and attached underbelly cable)... & relatively compact.

The only issue I had with this speaker is the 3.5mm female side jack, which can be used for either audio playback or expansion with additional portable speaker/s. I seem to have a bad internal connection... need to hold the cable a certain way to get sound. Since I typically use the belly cord for my music players, and don't plan on attaching additional speakers, this hasn't been a problem for me. Additionally, this may be an isolated issue to my speaker... not sure if anyone else has experienced the same.

Short & sweet... ya really can't go wrong with this baby!

I have always been frustrated with the power (or lack thereof) I get out of laptop speakers. Strange though it may be, I do want to hear my movie when more than three feet from the laptop. I opted for the compact Spider over larger speaker bars because I frequently travel with camera gear, which tends to to fill all available space...

Pros: Pocket sized. Very, very loud. Decent frequency range. The bellows-like design does seem to give the bass a little kick beyond what I might expect from a little guy like this. Cello actually sounds pretty decent on it.

Cons: The sound is a little muddy. Included cable is fairly thin, but if it ever broke you could still charge with a regular mini-USB cable and use the hard wired input cable on the bottom. I thought the segments of the Y (USB/Mini-USB/3.5mm Audio)were odd lengths. User manual leaves something to be desired.

Taken in the context of price and what niche this fills, the muddy sound is very acceptable. To me, volume and portability are the bigger concerns and it delivers easily here. Right now I can hear it, several notches below max volume, over my sink and a box fan. It's sitting next to my laptop and I can feel the the keyboard vibrating a little... As I said, loud. Volume is equally loud whether it is powered by USB or battery. You get slightly clearer and louder sound if you point it at your head.

Now someone stick this tech in a laptop chassis!

I bought this speaker for my android and the sound is much clearer than the music bullet, sounds clear even when the volume is way up in max, the cable is too short so I recommend an extension 'cause tge cable is way too short, the top of the speaker does not pop that high as they show on the picture, the top is pretty low but it has a great bass it's felt when you grab it in your hand I love it and I recommend it.

This is an impressive speaker and well worth the money. You will get hours of music or radio or whatever out of it. I have never written a review but this little guy has inspired me to give credit where credit is due.

For how small and inexpensive this is, it really does put out good sound. Unfortunately it only lasted for a few months of moderate use before it stopped working.

First of all, I'm not going into load of technical details. Its a little speaker for little situations, and for that's its great. You have to understand your expectations when buying a small speaker like this, you'll never get the bass if your really into the music end of it, but its still a decent sound. Great for audiobooks, which is what I use it for. The music I listen to needs much more than these or any other small speaker (unless your getting into the thousand dollar range) can deliver. Has good charge time..Its worth the money.

I now have three of these units and keep one with me for presentations with my laptop (for extra volume) and keep one in my bath to play music from my MP3 player in the morning. This unit is great. Better than other cheaper alternatives. GREAT BASS !!!
