I bought my daughter a cute Tinkerbell backpack from a departments store for close to $20 for Kindergarten. Within a month, the zippers no longer worked. I went to several stores looking for a new backpack for her and found that they all had the same type of zipper. I can't afford to buy her a new backpack once a month so I turned to Amazon and ended up choosing this one. She's used it for 3+ months now without any trouble. The zipper is of much higher quality than the backpacks sold at major department stores. The size is perfect for a kindergartener too, her other backpack was huge on her and this one fits her folder perfectly without hanging halfway to her knees. We are very happy with this backpack.
This backpack is just as cute as it looks. I looked through many backpacks before I ordered this one. It is durable and the zipper is easy to open and close - my 3 year-old can do it herself. It is not a gaudy looking character backpack- which is what I wanted to avoid. It holds a regular sized folder, too. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and my daughter absolutely loves her backpack for preschool.
We were looking for a backpack for my daughter who's starting Kindergarten in 2 months. She picked this one, and the price was decent so we agreed to it. I ordered it as well as the coordinating lunch box and water bottle so that everrything matched and would be easy for her to keep track of. I was pleasantly surprised how well made it is, and how CUTE! It is made of heavy nylon. The straps are lightly padded, and it is the PERFECT size for her! The outside front zippered pocket has places for pencils, a key hook, a zippered pouch, and a name tag. There is a mesh side pocket that is the perfect size to hold the matching Crocodile Creek Princess water bottle. I am very pleased with this product, as well as the other Crocodile Creek products that we got to go with it, and my daughter is totally excited to start school with her new school supplies!
ETA on 12/16/13: I had posted detailed pictures of the backpack, lunch box, and water bottle together, on my daughter, for size. For some reason they're not shown here, but I still have them uploaded to my Amazon account, for reference, if you're interested. http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/customer-gallery/A4WGO84S68ALB/ref=cm_pdp_imgs_all Also, this backpack is still in AMAZING condition, though some of the picture has flaked off, after 2 years of use and multiple runs through the washing machine. In fact, she needed a bigger backpack for 2nd grade, otherwise she'd still be using this one. She does still use it for when we take trips or go hiking. Totally worth the money!
I got this for a first grader and in the winter she can fit her bulky jacket, hat, the matching lunch box and two folders. Could not fit the pencil box but using the outside pocket for crayons and pencil.
It can be difficult to find a backpack for your preschooler that can fit a folder but doesn't go down to their knees. This one is great! We loved the cute design and bright colors. I love this company.
My daughter loves her Princess backpack and I think that for the price these are excellent preschool packs. Light weight and small but still enough room for a folder and change of clothes. This matches her sisters ballerina pack and I hope to get the classic lunchboxes which match just enough but not too much.
My 5-year old daughter loves this backpack. We bought the coordinating robot backpack for her twin brother. They are so cute and colorful but not garish. Lots of great inside pockets and enough space to put a large lunch box plus folders and extra clothes.
I bought this backpack for my 2 1/2 year-old daughter because I didn't want to get her a pink one. I love the color combimation, and also bought the matching water bottle and the lunchbox. All products are well made, and the backpack is very roomy. It's a little big for my daughter now (her height is about 85% among her peers), but it will be fine in a few months.
