This is nothing fancy - It's merely a "pocket" to slide your iPad 2 in and out of when you need it for road trips. It attaches to your seat via the black strap you see in the picture...it's really quite simple. The iPad's buttons, speaker grill, and camera are all available when installed. The iPad slides in and out very easily with little effort. When mounted, the only way the iPad will fall out of this case is if your vehicle turns upside down - As you can see in the picture, one side of the case is open with no means to close it. Personally, I don't plan on flipping my car so this is a non-issue for me. I also like that I can easily take the iPad in and out of the case will minimal effort, because I only need this mount for infrequent road trips (maybe a couple times a month).

Not yet pictured is the front of the case, which covers the entire black (or white) bezel when in use. There is no plastic screen protector built into this case, which I wouldn't want anyway. And again, the home button and camera are accessible as you'd expect.

I rate this product 5 stars because it's simple and it works. Installation of the mount to the car is easy and physically putting the iPad into the case is a breeze. If you use a very thin shield on your iPAd 2 like the Incipio Feather, you do not need to remove that prior to using the CinemaSeat; it'll fit fine. Much thicker than that though and you may start running into problems. Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone in need of a simple vehicle headrest mount. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.

I think this is a great item and would be perfect if the strap was designed more efficiently. Head rests are so many different shapes and sizes, it should have been considered more when making this item. I can barely get it on without a struggle, but when I do, it really does work great. Even if they added an extra strap you could add if needed...
I went to michaels and bought some Velcro and just made it longer myself.

This straps on easily and holds the iPad in place firmly. The only downside is that it has to be oriented a certain way, as shown in the picture. This puts the charging port facing in one direction, if it's mounted behind the passenger seat the cable may not be long enough to reach across the seat.

it holds the ipad 2 really well, but the strap is short, too short for my Odyssey. still works. probably better for cars with smaller head rest size.

I debated giving this 2 or 3 stars. The product is good in theory, but the strap is barely long enough for my car (2007 Ford Explorer). To secure the holder to my headrest, I have to pull the strap as hard as I can and then maintain that tension as I try to get just enough overlap for the velcro to hold in place. If I get it right the holder will stay up, but if I don't get it just right, the holder either will fall or get knocked around when we go over bumps. My wife was not able to adequately secure the holder herself. Bottom line is that this would be a 5 star product if the strap were 1 inch longer, but I plan to return because it's just too big of a pain to deal with for my car. Very bizarre to me that the company didn't make the strap longer to accommodate more car models.

This is an excellent opportunity to convert your existing iPad 2 into an in-car movie screen, instead of buying a more expensive DVD-system made especially for cars. Construction is sturdy, easily holds your iPad and gives you access to all buttons and connections (buy your iPad specific model).

Great case, does what it's supposed to do. Buttons are easily accessible, strap fits our headrest bars and it fits both our iPad & iPad 2. The iPad is a nice tight fit, I even flipped it upside down and jiggled it and it did not come out. The iPad 2 is a little loose, but still fits well. Not sure about the other reviews regarding the straps not being long enough to go around the bars, works great in both our vehicles, F-150 & Hyundai Santa Fe. I think people are not running the strap around the bars and then through the metal loop; once you do this you have more slack--I've uploaded a couple of photos. I do agree with the other reviews that this product would be better if it had a clasp to close the slot where the iPad slides in. Just have to be extra careful when removing it from the vehicle! For the price though, can't fault it too much. Trying to figure out a way to secure the top part...

The Cinemaseat works as intended, but the design could be much better with a relatively easy tweak. The problem (for me at least) is that the strap that holds the sleeve to the car headrest is almost too short.

The strap is intended to wrap around the posts of the headrest and then velcro to the back of the sleeve again. This works, but the strap is almost too short. So where it velcro's to the sleeve there is so little strap available that it is just barely hanging on. A few rough jostle's by our two year old and it can fall off.

To be fair, it doesn't happen frequently and overtime the strap may stretch out, but it does seem like a weird design choice. If it were just a few inches longer it wouldn't be a problem at all. Also this may be due to the posts of my particular car (Honda Fit) being further apart than most cars. Though it is an issue in our Honda Insight as well.

The pocket on the back, while a good idea, doesn't have much use. We leave the Cinemaseat strapped in the car at all times and just slide the iPad in and out, so the pocket is always between it and the car seat and is inaccessible.

Overall it works as intended, but there is a possibility if the posts of your headrest are far apart, that it won't fit on your car.

My wife purchased this for our 1 yr old before we went down to Dallas from KC. What an idea....our little girl loved watching movies on it and it kept her busy as she no longer sleeps the entire time we are in the car like we used to. Easy to set-up - strap worked on our Acura MDX, although it is short we were still able to velcro it. It held up great, and we have used it for a 3 hr trip to the lake.....great buy for the price. Wife also bought a USB IPAD charger so we can keep it plugged and charging the whole time we are driving.

There really isn't much to say except that this fits the iPad3 perfectly and holds it securely against the back of our 2012 Ford Edge's seat/head rest at eye level. Excellent. Going to buy a second one for the other kid..of course that would require a second iPad..

Do not hesitate.
