first off lemme say, oh my god!!!! this board is a beast the bushings werent tight at all but saying so i loosened them a little and this thing is a carving machine. the trucks are shiny steel and they look pretty thick but the match the board to a T. another thing about the board is that it isnt actually a normal dropthrough. its actually a slight bottle neck which provides and great base plus it helps you locate where your foot is on the board if you are if you dont have time to look before sliding or doing a trick. the back end seems like its stretched out and it isnt the most attractive shap[e but if you dont look too long and focus on it itlooks streamlined and beautiful. the wheels are just as pictured and provide a substancial amount of grip. id say they are of a pretty soft urethane. they are dark green and shiny. my nuts on the axles had to be loosened up a little because the wheels werent spinning well but its no biggie. the bearings seam to be of very very VERY high quality as expected of abec 9s. the design on the bottom isnt painted on actually and the wood grained pattern is kind of fake looking because the whole bottom is printed on but if you are not less than two feet away it looks totally rad. the board itself doesnt have too much flex. im around a hundred pounds and judging by my jumping on it and carving around it seems like just the right amount. another thing that helps is that the deck is arched toe side which provides a little more rebound. my first longboard the atom pintail super carver was a board i thought super highly of but due to an unfortunate accident involving a white mini van, and a careless driver, the board lays in four pieces. the atom drop through board total triumphs over the pintail topmount. it can carve ten times faster and in a smaller radius. overall if i had to rate this board out of five stars id give it a right on 100. im stoked be the first reviewer and rider from amazon to get this board. and i hope this review helped. generally if you have the money to pay the tiny price of 100 for a board id pay 250 for you should definetly buy this board. its sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet to ride and glides forever. Peace out people and enjoy riding the atom drop through 41 inch.; '''''''''''''''

Let me start by stating that I'm a 16 year old skater. I'm new to longboards and this Atom was my first purchase.
The board itself has a great design, I love the sleek look and the green. I've found that with a little lube I was able to break in my bearings and such with no problem. The deck has yet to warp at all from water damage (I try to avoid puddles but sometimes it's impossible). The deck itself is very sturdy, I've had adults bounce on it and it has had no problem at all bouncing back and keeping them up. I've clocked up to around 10 mph on this board so far. I can tell that even with just the bearings it came with, it's a fantastic board.
My turns and cuts are absolutely incredible. The board responds with such ease and grace when you turn, it's like butter. I know I'll have no problems with getting a good turn or making a quick split second cut. The best part, however is the reliability. The board has yet to have a single problem with it's manufacturing and has been put through quite a bit of tough love from my buddies and I.

But the most stupendous of feats this board has accomplished happened today. My friend and I were going to the local grocer to buy a soda and a bag of chips. On the way back we were waiting for our turn on the crosswalk, as the walk signal flashed I kicked my board into the street. I had the intention of jumping onto it, using the run jump as a way of gaining speed initially. Not even a second after I'd kicked it into the street and was running to it, a car went out of turn and came barreling through the turn, against pedestrian traffic, and was at around 25mph or so. Possibly faster. The car not only drove over the deck with the front tires, but also with the back tires. The deck was so flexible it touched the ground, bounced up, and hit the ground again when the back tires drove over it. Out of anger, and fear of my broken skateboard, I was furious! I rushed over, glad it was the board and not myself on the ground, and realized it wasn't broken. NOT EVEN A SCRATCH!! This board has truly surpassed all expectations I'd had for it. In the hours of skating after that incident it still has proven to work just as before. This is truly, 100%, without a doubt my favorite skateboard. I'll continue to buy these products.

For anyone on the fence about buying this board, just remember you can have an SUV drive over it twice and it'll be fine.

The only reason I've taken the time to write this review was because of how magnificent this board has proven to be.

If you are trying to purchase your first longboard or just want another low-cost board, I recommend this one. This board was way better than I thought it was going to be. This was my first board and I was surprised at the performance and smooth ride it gives you.

The deck is strong but light and flexes just enough to absorb bumps. The concave of the deck truly sucks, to be frank. There is virtually no concave. If you aren't careful with your foot placement when doing slides, your foot could slip off the board. That is my least favorite part of the whole board (2.5/5)

The trucks and bushings are decent and really don't need to be replaced. They are sufficient for beginners. (5/5)

When new, the outer-most layer of the green wheels seem to wear down pretty fast (depending how much you ride). But once you wear them down to a certain point, the wearing down of the wheels slows down, if that makes sense. They are very grippy and hug the road when taking hard/fast turns. The wheels are not for sliding. Doing speedchecks is the most you will probably want to slide in them. Test it and you will see what I mean. But they are pretty good wheels overall. (4/5)

The graphic on the deck reminds me of the Target store. And like the other person said, the wood finish look is not the wood of the board. That is printed on which does indeed look fake when looking closely, but honestly who cares, right? It's not about the graphic of the board but the performance. (4/5).

All in all, the board is decent and for the price, it was worth it. I give it a grand rating of (4.2/5).

UPDATE: I've been riding this board for a bit over three months now nearly every day to get across campus. Satisfaction with the board is decreasing. I still love the deck buts it's the trucks man. No good. My front and rear trucks are both bent enough now that my wheels aren't wearing evenly at all. If the wheels that came with the board were center-set, I could just flip them and deal with the bent trucks later. But this isn't the case. I'll need to buy new trucks now which is a load of crap. I'm 180 pounds and don't do anything stupid or abusive with my board. I would still recommend this board to young beginners, just beware that parts will need replacement in a very short amount of time (And trucks are NOT cheap at all).

This is my first longboard and I couldn't be more satisfied. I shopped around in some local skate shops and surfed the sites quite a bit before I bought this one on amazon. The deck has a great shape and perfect amount of flex. This setup has proved great for both cross-town cruising as well as downhill. With a little lube and a little bit of tweaking, the bearings/wheels just gooooo and goooo. The wheels are good and grippy, pretty soft. Perfect for hard carving. Definitely going to need different wheels if sliding is a must. The only downfall that I've encountered so far are the bushings. The stock bushings were veeeery soft even when cranked up hard so I replaced them pretty quick with some nicer and harder venoms. Also, the kingpin is about a quarter inch shorter than it should be, making the bushings a real pain in the arss to hold down while trying to thread the nut on. The guy at the skate shop got pretty pissed when he was trying to fit 'em on. As far as looks, the deck is sharp. The board rides like butter and I can say with confidence that this is the best value available for starting or experienced longboarders. Buddy of mine spent twice as much for his first board, supposedly much nicer, and he still always wants to ride on mine. Great longboard, definitely recommend it for any skill level. A+ for atom!

This longboard was ready to ride out of the box and handled really well. I've ridden some more expensive longboards and this longboard felt like a $200 dollar board. It has a great price and rides very smoothly. Admittedly, I think it would be wise to switch out the bearings, so one can have good quality bearings than the factory ones. But even then, the wheels are very nice. I would recommend this board to anybody who likes to longboard, but may not want to spend as much. excellent board.

This is a great longboard for the price. I use it every day for transportation around my college campus. The board itself and the grip tape seems to be good quality. The design on the bottom of the board is pretty cool, however I do not like the printed fake wood. Not really a big deal, but would have been better if it had been painted all black with the graphic on top in my opinion. The trucks and bearings are fine and the wheels a great for transportation. Two things to note about this board. First you will need to tighten the screw on the trucks. A few days after I bought it mine were so loose I could hand tighten them (Not good). Second although the board moved quite well right out of the box I ended up changing the lubricant for the ball bearings. If I spun the wheel, it would stop after a few seconds due to the thick lubricant used. So I went to Zumiez and bought some bones speed cream. I used the video in the link below to apply it except I just threw the bearings in a bottle of cleaning solution with the shields taken off. Now the wheel spins for like a minute. Makes a huge difference when out longboarding.

This right out the box board is great. The look, feel, and texture. Riding was smooth. I recommend this to anyone who loves to explore with an exotic twist.
