Weeeellll . . . . . . it's ok, I guess

As a lot of people say, it fits the magnetic end Thomas trains. The battery powered Thomas left over from another (destroyed) set fits. Plain wood, fairly well made, though we do have one QC reject which doesn't fit and the splitters are more snug than is convenient for little kids.
The biggest thing to remember is what it says in the description - "great way to EXPAND your train set." The splitters are all 2-male/1-female and are fine for breaking off new lines but do not allow closing the loops of the new lines.
If I had to do it again, I'd buy the 110 piece set by Orbrium Toys which does allow splitting off new lines and closing the loops - at least it looks like it does - and also includes some elevated track pieces. As it is, I'll buy the little set of double male/double female pieces by Orbrium to get the capability of closing things off. Same amount of money, little more track, no elevated.
