Game play:
The game features 6 tile layouts with 5 being based on the Halloween theme. Not only are the tiles labeled with Halloween icons but the shapes of the special layouts are in the shape of Halloween items like: Black Cat, Witch's Hat, Haunted House, Jock O'Lantern and Ghost. You of course can play the classic layout.

While the game's theme and idea is cute, unfortunately the game wouldn't play very well. On my Kindle Fire I could touch dozens of tiles and they would not activate for play then suddenly they would. The slightest touch also moved the entire pile of tiles around which is very bothersome. You can zoom into the pile so I tried that and it still would not let me select tiles that were obviously free. I have not had that issue with other Mahjong games that I own.

Home screen:
Play and more games are on the home screen and more games takes you to the web to Amazons Appstore of the Amazon browser.

What I like:
The Halloween theme was a good idea but for whatever reason the touch controls are not working well.

What I don't like:
After 20 minutes of trying to play I decided to move on. I have about ten Mahjong games that I enjoy playing but this one has issues with game play on my Kindle Fire. The touch controls would not allow you to pick up tiles that were free and it made the game frustrating and not fun.

While the Halloween theme is cute it doesn't make up for the strange actions of the controls. If I am having difficulty on a larger screen Kindle Fire I cannot imagine playing this on a smaller smart phone.

Summary:
I usually play the app of the day for 1 ½ to 3 hours before I write a review. Sometimes up to four hours. Today after 20 minutes I gave up because of the controls. It is unfortunate because I like Mahjong but it was not worth playing as it is a frustrating game on my Kindle Fire.

I hope your experience is better than mine was.

The App requires Adobe Air to be installed. The game itself is Ok but is very slow to unresponsive in registering clicks so that seriously hampers your time. The artwork is also quite amateurish. Not going to keep it, because there are better mahjong games available.

I am addicted to 24*7's Mahjong games! I do have a few criticisms about all the games, including the Halloween Mahjong game. I play on a Motorola Razr Maxx (Android)

1. They switch orientation. The games start out in landscape mode, but if they are paused, they flip to portrait view and they will not go back.

2. Sometimes the tiles will not highlight. I can choose the first tile and then the 2nd tile will not highlight unless I poke REALLY HARD on my phone screen (with my finger). Not good. I'm just glad this doesn't happen very often or I would not be able to play the game. And yes, I'm choosing the correct tile(s).

3. Some games have more configurations than others. I'd love some new configurations to play on all the games.

4. Resizing the screen with a finger pinch doesn't always work too well either. That also needs some work.

Even with those 4 points being said, the games are very playable and just challenging enough to continue to be interesting. Fix up those issues and I'll give a five star review. Keep 'em coming!

It was free today so I tried it. I love Mahjong but this one was a problem to my Supernova. The touch was not responding like it should. It's a shame because it looked fun.

Doesn't seem to have any glitches. Great way to waste some time. I would actually buy this little application. Nice that it was offered as a free app. Thank you!

I've played about an hour on my Kindle Fire and haven't had any of the problems other people mentioned. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the tiles are small so I have a little trouble seeing some of the ones that are too similar.

24-7 Mahjong games no longer work on my Kindle Fire. I started with the 4th of July version and for a couple of months it was great - responsive, fun, and addictive. Then I tried the fall version and it was useless. Clicking on a tile most often had no effect and frequently caused the whole pile of tiles to move slightly. Then, after some kind of update ran on my KF, even the 4th of July version became unplayable in the same way as the fall version. I tried the Halloween version since it was free, hoping that perhaps some bug had been worked out but it too is unresponsive. I am perplexed as to why these games appear to work for the vast majority of users and once worked for me but no longer. Is this perhaps specific to Kindle Fires?

Update: I don't know what changed but some time after posting this review 24/7 games began to work again.

This game does not work on my Kindle Fire. Sometimes when you try to touch a tile the whole game moves around the screen, and repeatedly when I touch matching tiles the game does not register that I touched matching tiles. Cute idea, but not ready for prime time on a Kindle Fire.
