All women should get this pack! Tons of pockets, lots of room. The suspension is amazing! Molds to your body! Downside does not come with rain fly.

Love the shape and support of this pack. The only problem with the shape is that you can not utilise the entire 65 L. I could only fit in this pack the same amout of stuff that would fit in a standard shape 50L pack.

I tried several backpacks for camping and hiking, this was e most comfortable (5'3"-114 pounds). After 5 days of hiking and backpacking, I love it even more. For the first time my back and shoulders stayed in good shape. The pack is efficient and smartly designed with lots of pockets, clips et. I just wish Osprey would come up with a similar design to include some camera gear...that would be awesome!!

This bag is great, extremely durable. The only reason it gets 4 stars is because the color shown online is not even close to what is actually is and I really liked the color online so I was disappointed in the color that it actually is (which is kinda like a maroon). The fit is great, it is adjustable so it sits perfectly on your back and is easy to carry with a load.

My wife loved this pack ! She took it to the Russian Wilderness for 5 days with 23 pounds off-trail and had no discomfort at all . She is 5' tall and 102 lbs. and this pack meshed to her body with every move. The many pockets are wonderful and the sleeping bag compartment made packing and going a lot easier. Held up great , no tears or rips .Going to get one for my 14yr old next year.

Since the pockets on the Aura 65 hipbelts are not that big, you can supplement with the Osprey Grag Bag - http://www.amazon.com/Osprey-233512-508-Grab-Bag-Titanium/dp/B004MYK1IQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425067732&sr=8-1&keywords=osprey+grab+bag. This fanny pack size bag can be attached to your shoulder straps to provide extra storage & easy access to your cash, phone & snacks. I also bought the Osprey Aquastow to have my water within reach - http://www.amazon.com/Osprey-233510-508-Packs-Aqua-Stow/dp/B004LXDXJW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1425067732&sr=8-3&keywords=osprey+grab+bag. When not attached to a backpack, both can be worn separately crossbody or as hip packs. LOVE these accessories!

----------------------
I bought the Osprey Farpoint 55 and the Porter 45 last year and LOVE the quality and fit for a petite person (5'1" and 15.5" torso). The Aura 65 has the same quality construction, fit and attention to detail. It feels like it is custom-made for me! I really love the two side opening zippered front pockets as they are spacious enough for water bottles and folded sleeping pads. In addition, it is much easier to find items in two streamlined pockets rather than 1 large bottomless pocket. The elastic front-most pocket is great for a helmet or a jacket. The side pockets are big enough for 1 L Nalgene bottles. There is a separate sleeping bag compartment that can also be removed to maximize room in the main compartment. The top has an exterior zipper at the back another and a mesh pocket for valuables underneath. It is also removable for ultra-light packing. There are ice pick loops and straps for a sleeping bag/tent. The back panel and the shoulder straps are all made of mesh-covered foam so you will not have a sweaty back or shoulders. The hipbelt has two zippered pockets for small items like keys or granola bars. It is quickly adjustable with "velcro fins". Although I like the Kelty Red Cloud 65 Jr. that offers an adjustable 14" - 19" torso length, it does not compare in fit or quality to the Aura 65. Every feature in the Aura 65 is well-designed and executed! No other brand that I own can boast this excellence!

Note, the Eggplant Purple color is inaccurately shown as a bluish/eggplant purple on most websites. IT IS NOT. In person, it is a lovely wine/burgandy color. Check it out at the REI website for more accurate color. I was on the fence about the eggplant purple shown at Amazon but I really like the rich burgandy color. It is feminine without being overly so.

For those who have even shorter torso lengths than 16", you may want to wait a few more months for the new Aura 65 AG which will offer a XS size (14' - 17" torso length). The specs for the Aura 65 AG looks awesome! Alternatively, you can try the burlier Ariel 65 which also offers the XS size. Whichever Osprey you end up choosing, you will LOVE your Osprey!

Great weight for the price, nice suspension and the mesh back keeps it cools. Highly recommended. Color is not quite as deep purple as soon on your screen, maybe a little more maroon like Texas A&M colors but still looks great.

Been looking for the perfect pack for me - female, 5'6", 135 lbs, average build. Needed a small size due to spine length, but the hip-belts are correspondingly small and the padded part always ended right at the tip of my hip bone. Not comfortable! However the hip belt on this pack is expandable - you can get an extra 6" out of it. Now it's a great fit. I like all of the bells and whistles Osprey worked into this pack while keeping the weight manageable. The only quibble I have is that the zipper on the top lid is only about 8" long, so it's kind of a pain when you need to put stuff in or rummage around in there. I use the top lid a lot, but perhaps others don't and so wouldn't mind. I don't think it's enough of a nuisance to pass up this pack and I still give it 5 stars

This is the most comfortable pack I've ever owned. With 30+ lbs inside sometimes I forget it's there. It has enough room for all my winter gear. I don't like how I can't get to my water bottle wile hiking but that gives me a reason to stop and rest a bit. I love all the pockets. That really helps with organizing my gear. There is a place for everything. My winter sleeping bag will not fit in the bottom but no problem I just put it inside the main pack and put other items in the bottom. I had to order a rain cover because it didn't come with one. Love the fit of this pack!! It's amazing.
