Keys sometime will not strike the character and you have to go back and re-type. This doesn't just happen on certain keys but several up to and including the space bar.

Ok eveything on the keyboard works fine after downloading the software except one thing....the keys stick.

I play FPS games and the awsd keys are rather important. about every 10 minutes or so the keys will get "stuck" not physically but my character wont stop moving in a particular direction until I press several other keys. This can be very annoying in the long run-especially if you play team games and they are depending on you.

As for the lighting features, the media keys, and the macros, everything works great. It also has a nice strong "braided" cord and two usb ports on the back.

If you are looking for a mmo keyboard this might be ok for you. But fps players should look elsewhere.

This keyboard is great. It has a smaller real estate than my previous keyboard. The 6 macro keys on the side can actually open programs!!! Which I love because the macro keys on my previous keyboard couldn't do that, so I never used them, because they were out of the way for my fingers and therefore proved useless for everything. I'm going to assume that if this keyboard has individual led's (of which I am unsure) for each key you could make a software tweek to change each individual keys color. It is great to type on and for gaming, the only thing that is a little weird is the backspace key is small (single key length instead of double) because the backslash key is kicked up a row to make more room for the enter key, to be the double row layout, which is not standard U.S. key layout. That being my only gripe I love this keyboard and I'm loving the dual usb's instead of usb audio port setup.

This keyboard is phenomenal. I cannot overstate the satisfaction I have for this gaming keyboard. I searched for a very long time for a keyboard with these options:
-Good build quality
-Good Ergonomics
-Backlight with a large color choice
-Keys with no paint fade over time
-No absurd features
-NOT MECHANICAL

I considered all the name brands (Logitech, Razer, Corsair) and some of the off brands (Roccat, Saitek, etc). I found that I didn't like any of the Logitechs (even though I'm a huge Logitech fan), and they were overpriced. Razer was just awful, so many reviews about keys going out, bad build quality, paint coming off, etc, not to mention pricey. And everything else was either ugly or overpriced.

BUT, I settled on the Imperator Pro because it fit my bill for all the above criteria. First off, I think it looks great. Very angular, very edgy, but not too outlandish. The symbols on the keys are backlight to pretty much any color you can think of. It has the 6 G keys plus three modes for whatever purposes. I have personally never used them, but I can think of some useful macros that could save time. The G keys are slightly recessed into the keyboard so they do not get in the way, and unlike other reviewers I haven't hit the G1 key instead of the escape key.

I've had this keyboard for about four months now and I am pleased to say I have experienced 0 mechanical faults and 0 cosmetic defects. So quality seems to be the same if not better than the competitors.

Cons. There are only two but they are minor:
-The keys seem slightly sluggish to type on. Maybe this is just my personal taste from being babied by a glorious Alienware laptop keyboard for a couple years. The Imperator might not be great for typist freaks, but then again we're mostly gamers here.
-The backspace key is the size of a normal key so it can be slightly difficult to hit sometimes. Why Genius decided to make one of the most hit keys tiny I do not know.

As a final noted I would love to see this keyboard become more popular, because it does everything right that every other keyboard manufacturer does wrong.

I usually keep my room pretty dark (ceiling light burn out and it's really high!) so I was looking for a back light keyboard so that I could still see what I was typing with the lights out. Most things I found were either one generic color or had a few preset color schemes. This one worked out great because you can actually change the colors to any flavor/brightness you desire. It also has a bunch of extra keys for macro settings and whatnot (I don't actually use them but they're there). The only complaint(s) I have is I would like more complex color options - like being able to make certain keys specific colors (for example W,A,S,D, in red and the rest in green) or being able to make the keyboard a rainbow for when I'm feeling fat and sassy. You get the idea. All in all a great keyboard.

TLDR: great keyboard, lots of color options, wish there were more

This is a very cool keyboard. I do believe it does help you to type more accurately and faster. I also like the wide...endless keyboard LED lightup color options. Product feels very solid and the keystroke touch is perfect. The only thing that has been a challenge is the backstroke key is one key size as opposed to two key size (hence the 4 star rating as opposed to the 5 star). I am actually use to it after about a month of typing. I am a fast typer...80-90 words per minute, and this keyboard is accurate and precise to the speed. The macros are also pretty easy to setup and really assist with saving time on usual keystroke paths.

for me it is much better than my RAZER that died due to just a faulty corded that shorted out ...this Genius has a fire resistant jacket around the cord with a tougher grommet pressed into the board .....that fire resistant cord is very expensive by the foot at electrical centers on the roll ...used to work for an electrician and the fire resistant wiring is used primarily for fire alarm systems and that is about it , cause the size on this keyboard cost about 3 bucks per foot ...and is way tougher than what you find on it's counter per from RAZER ...I like that ...my bud spilled a whole can of bud on his Imperator pro one night gaming ..and his still works over a year later ! and you can pick it up by the palm rest with confidence cause it is fastened on tight ...unlike the RAZER's palm rest that flops around ! it does not have all the bells and whistles the RAZER has ...but I never got good enough at it to use all of them ..so who cares ? this thing is a bit cheaper but way more tougher made than it's counter part ! mine came with a CD to program the whole thing user friendly ! or you can just plug it into any PC and Microsoft will see it and slam in some drivers to light it up without the CD ! ..and it has two USB ports right on the front right hand side ...comes in pretty handy more than once ! works great on my laptop 3.0 USB ports also ...I leave my laptop on the coffee table and kick back on the couch with the Imperator on my lap and I am in the game !

The face you can change the lighting on the keyboard to any color variation of your choosing is a unique and awesome feature. It feels like a standard keyboard as well, no problem or issues with the feel of the keys. The one thing people said was annoying to them was the small backspace key. I've had keyboards like this before though, so I'm so used to it I don't even notice. I'm a fairly fast typer and I play a lot of online games and it doesn't cause any trouble. So just note that it might bug you at first but you get used to it!

I'd highly reccommend this product to others!
