This toy is awesome! I hate cheap toys and I hate being ripped off, BUT this toy has to be cheap/light plastic because it has to be light enough to stick to the wall! If it were durable, it would be heavy and the vacuum would not work. My initial reaction was that it seemed cheap, but when I saw how it worked and realized that something more durable would not stick to the wall, I totally understood why it was so light weight. My son just turned 4 and he loves this toy and so do all of his friends that come over.

This toy DOES stick to the wall and it will climb around on the wall. It does not get much cooler than that. Yes, you have to charge the toy by plugging it into the remote control because again, if the toy had batteries in it, it would be too heavy to stick to the wall. I highly recommend this toy!

I wouldn't be criticizing this toy based on cheap plastic - what toy isn't these days. Ours has had heaps of play time and hasn't broken yet so its quite durable. Yes, it does run out of battery charge fairly fast but it is a whole lot of fun when in use. My 4y.o and 6y.o think it's neat. If your kid loves remote controlled cars etc, they will love this.

Many people who have reviewed this product have complained about the flimsy plastic that it is made out of. It's true that it does need to be handled with care, but the product would not work if it were made out of a heavier material.

My son loves this Spiderman toy, but he knows he has to be patient while it charges, and it has to be handled gently.

It works just like the package says it does. It worked great on our flat painted walls.

I have boys who love anything and everything comic character related. They particularly love Spider-Man so when I saw this remote-control toy on the Hasbro Holiday Flyer, I thought it would be nice to get one to review. The first thing that struck me when I opened the box was the lightness of the toy. It is almost a bit fragile if not handle carefully by a child. But the lightness of the character is necessary for it to climb on walls.

The controller needed batteries in order to work. So I inserted the four required batteries and decided to charge the Spider-Man right away. The Spider-Man itself has a switch button to put it on. Right away the vacuum starts and you can place the toy on the wall. It really stays there without any help about from the vacuum which is a bit noisy. So I took the controller and proceeded to "walk" the Spider-Man up and down the wall. It was fun and definitively out-of-the-ordinary. The charge works for about 15 minutes then you will need to recharge the Spider-Man to the controller in order to play with it again.

Seeing the Spider-Man crawling on the wall of my bedroom, I got reminded of my oldest son who decided one day to climb the walls when he was 8 1/2 years old. He thought it was hilarious....

The Amazing Spider-Man R/C Speed Climbing Spider-Man is a out-of-the-ordinary gift to give to the boy in your life. Like I mentioned the charge time is about 15 minutes but I suspect that your son will find new territories to explore with Spider-Man once it is fully recharged...

My first review was not a good one because the toy isn't very durable. I gave it to my grand-son yesterday, and he loves it! If it's good enough for him, that's good enough for me. I was disappointed that the arms, legs and body are flimsy, but I suppose the vacuum and the mechanics that move the arms and legs wouldn't work if the parts were heavier. When you follow the instructions, the vacuum helps the character cling to walls. It falls off when it loses suction, but that's to be expected, and the directions DO say to use smooth, clean walls or other surfaces.

I had doubts of how well the figure would climb the walls, but I do have to say I was pleasantly surprised. My son is a self declared Spiderman freak and loves it.

The only negative things I can say are it is a little noise (sounds like a small vaccuum) and the plastic body is very thin and can easily be broken. I understand the figure needs to be light weight so it can climb, just wasn't expecting the body to be of that material.

The figure was not what we expected, as the body was made up of thin plastic, but it works great.

I bought this for my son for Christmas and he loves it. It does what it says. I couldn't believe it myself that it moves on the wall. He freaks out playing with it and says "Go Spider-Man Go!". It did fall once and came apart but it was easy to put back together. It is very light and flimsy plastic but I can see why so it stays on the wall. Its quick moving too. Would recommend to any kid who loves Spider-Man.

I do not advise anyone to buy this as it's expensive for poor quality. Arms are made of paper & when it crawls up the wall the batteries run out too quickly
