We received the calendar very quickly and in perfect condition. This is about the only positive thing I have to say about this calendar.
My daughters are 8 and 4 yrs. old and every year they get a traditional advent calendar with pictures or chocolates and one that has something for them to build. Since the Lego ones are so expensive and only very few have a nice Christmas theme I decided I would get my 8-yr-old the Smurf calendar this year. She loves the smurfs and I was very excited that Amazon carried their Advent calendar. The pictures on the box reveal practically everything that's contained inside so I decided to cover up parts of the box so there would be at least a little bit of a surprise. Day 1: my daughter is over the moon because she gets Hefty Smurf (one of her favorites). Day 2: she gets a few white mega blocks with stickers to build a 'snow pile' - still ok. Day 3 - more white blocks, uh - ok? Day 4 - more blocks, nothing that you can build anything with. She starts to get bored... Day 5 - a ladder. She definitely gets frustrated by now. Another day she gets one (!) red stud or one brown 2x6 plate or just stickers. Really? After that it became obvious that she wouldn't have to expect anything exciting until Day 24 when she would at least get Smurfette. All the while my four year old opens her Playmobil finding a nice mini figure, accessories, furniture, a treasure chest, etc. every single day. And every piece or kit continues to fill the included 3-D scenery and allows for more creative play with the set. The Smurf 'scenery' is printed on a flap attached to the calendar and is quite boring. For almost the same price the Playmobil calendar offers five times the fun to open and ten times more fun to play with after opening. The entire Mega Blok calendar went into the trash on Dec 24. The parts are now in a box and have not been played with since - only Hefty and Smurfette were added to a different smurf set she already had. We are extremely disappointed with this set.

My kids love the Lego advent calendars, but this year I struggled to find 3 different versions (one for each). I saw this Smurf calendar and thought it would be a good option, especially since the blocks are compatible with Lego bricks.
Overall, this advent calendar is a major disappointment. The pieces are not that interesting, and the scene it creates is rather boring. Several days offer only 1 piece! The Lego calendars are so much better! Each day has something unique to create, with several cute mini-figs and an interesting scene that inspires imaginative play. This Smurf set really pales in comparison. I'm glad I gave this calendar to my 2 year old who is not old enough to notice the difference.
In the future, I will only buy the Lego brand advent calendars. Even at the discounted price, this product just isn't worth it.

I purchased from a recent lightning Gold Box deal and gave it to my daughter on December 1st. The box has a front flap that is meant to be used as the background for the advent calendar, however, the front flap on our box was torn and had to be taped back together.

The smurf figures in the set seem to be well constructed and look good, it's the other blocks that I have an issue with. My daughter (5 years old) has a hard time getting the Mega Bloks to fit together properly and I've had to force a couple of them together. Also the stickers that are meant to be applied to some of the items are not very good quality. After only 3 days on display, most of the stickers are falling off the first present that we built.

The set is very cute if you like the Smurfs, I'm just not thrilled with the quality control. It is definitely a cheaper alternative to the Lego sets.

I ordered this as a last minute activity for my kids. It was such a great deal since it was already the middle of December, but thought it would be fun to put the whole thing together on Christmas Eve after the kids put on their new pajamas. We've done the Lego ones in past years, but liked this one because it was a little "merrier". Some days there was a single brick, some days you get to build something. The pieces don't fit together nearly as well as Legos. The trees kept falling apart. For the $6.99 I paid for it, it was cute. I wouldn't have been happy paying full price.

There was a reason this item was on sale...it's not really that great! As other reviews have noted, one of the days HAS ONLY ONE PIECE! We got this for our daughter since our boys have Lego Star Wars calendars -- and those have nice little sets each day. Again, today was ONE PIECE. And when there is more than one piece? Just random white blocks that basically are supposed to be PILES OF SNOW??? The only thing that makes this a "Smurf" set is that you get two Smurfs. Better to buy those and do something else than buy this junk!

This is the worst advent calendar you can buy. Pay the money and buy Lego. Thought it would be good sine not much smurf suff out there but mega blocks really missed the boat here.

I bought this Advent calendar with high hopes, as we've had great experiences with the LEGO ones. We LOVE the Smurfs, so I thought this would be perfect! Boy, was I wrong. Imagine the disappointment of my 5 year old when one day he opens up a day, and all he gets is one round stud. Or what looks to be a windshield. Seriously. Two separate days he's gotten something that looks like a windshield. He was so bored and disappointed with this calendar, he eventually just opened it and left the parts laying around. (since most of the time there was nothing to build!) There were only TWO minifigures! They also missed the opportunity to make a Papa Smurf Santa. Luckily I also purchased A LEGO Star Wars one (second year in a row!) so he still had something FUN to count the days down with. =( Megabloks really needs to take a closer look at the LEGO Advent, and try harder next year.

I bought this for my son, because $50 for Starwars advent was not going to happen. Thought it was going to be decent when the first one was a smurf, but the day after day of just block walls for snow ball forts gets lame. one day was a red piece that goes on top of the tree. As I stated before. Lame

By accident we had 2 advent calendars this year. This one was okay, but my 4-year-old didn't take much interest in it.

I got this for a great price and was thrilled! However, as many of the other reviewers stated, it was a little disappointing. The pieces came in no particular order. For instance, one day we got stickers with nothing else. Then, 5 days later, we opened the piece on which the stickers were to go! My 3 year old liked it, but I would have lost interest quickly. In the end, some cute pieces.
