Bought this pack during the 8 dollar flash sale. It's a good price for the combo but beware, the CD keys won't work on Steam. EA is making all their keys essentially Origin-exclusive now(except for the Amazon downloader).

First of all, I installed both games without using EA's Origin program with no issues (the installer checked via online server the keys provided by Amazon, again with no problems). Haven't experienced any problems with both games. I bought it at a discounted price, so far I consider it a good value for the money. Here are my impressions on both games.

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box:
Racing game with a strong focus on crashing and totaling opponents. It's set up in an open-world city, with several types races or "missions" available. The racing missions give you a starting point and an ending point, but the twist is that there is not a single route to the finish line, you can (or must) choose how to get there through the streets of the city. Other missions involve surviving against other cars trying to destroy you, or you destroying other cars. The game's got a nice selection of licensed music tracks that fit pretty well, and the gameplay is fast and fun. Things I didn't like were the lack of real cars and how it gets a little repetitive. Runs very good in my PC (60+ fps), but the multiplayer is not working. 3/5 stars

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit:
Again a racing game with a strong focus on crashing and taking down opponents. Very similar to Burnout, but with a more "serious" tone that does not fit well with the action. The game is set in a fictional county, with several types of missions available, although they are less varied than in Burnout. The racing missions are more straightforward, with only one route to the finish line. You can play as both a racer or a detective. The racer has to get to the finish line first, escaping the police, while the detective has to stop the racers by destroying the cars. It gets repetitive very fast, but the multiplayer is much better, with a social system that lets you share messages and photos of the game. Also, it keeps track of other players records, so you can challenge and beat them ("Autolog"). The licensed music selection is, again, a little too serious and doesn't fit well. Really good graphics (runs very good on my system) and real life luxury cars. 3/5 stars

My system:
- CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955
- Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6850
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- O.S.: Windows 8 Pro 64 bit

I own every Burnout game from the PS2 originals to the PSP spinoffs. I even have this game on PS3 as well but not the ultimate box edition. This is by far the best version considering the visual quality on PC. Definitely a must buy for any Burnout fan, hands down. A lot of replay value compared to previous titles.

Anyone who loves racing games will love these pieces. Burnout Paradise is considered by some as the greatest racing game of all time. I personally only bought this for Burnout but the Need for Speed game surprised me too. I don't normally play racing games so this was a nice surprise. But, for the price I got this, it was a steal.

Both these games are great racing games on the pc. Need for Speed is especially great on the pc, since it easily runs a 60fps while the console versions max at 30fps.

However, if your thinking about buying this you should know that you don't even have the option of buying any of the DLC on Burnout Paradise that was previously available on the pc, because EA shut down the servers for this a while ago. The rest of the game is great, but missing the DLC makes this version of burnout inferior to the console versions.

I was looking for a manual mode in driving, but it would not allow me to switch to manual. Not to mention the entire game was incredibly unimpressive.

Must have package for anyone who likes racing game and being able to play how they want!! Burnout Paradise is an open world race game while Hot Pursuit is mission based. But in Burnout they discontinued all dlc in 2010 making most of it unacceptable. Still AWESOME!!

These are two of the best racing games I have ever played. Burnout alone is worth the money, and then you through in Need for speed as a plus. This is a great pack to buy.
