I like the way the frame looks. The plastic frame is on the thin side. It has a cheap plastic feel. The hanger is screwed in to the top of the back of the frame. It seems to flex quite a bit under the weight of the frame. The layout of the frame is great. However, the construction and materials are low quality.

I really like this frame. It's stylish and unique looking. I don't think it looks "plasticky".

My favorite part of this frame is the fact that you can put small objects on the tops of the individual picture holders or on the ledge pieces that connect them. The wider ledges are 1.5 inches deep, others are 1 or 1.25 inches deep. Displaying photos and little trinkets in the same frame gives a nice collage effect. Right now I have some small wooden figurines, my dad's old pocketknife, a pretty river stone and a souvenir shotglass resting on the various ledges.

Don't let the good reviews fool you. Everything on this frame is made from extremely cheap materials. I bought this frame in my sisters memory to hang in my living room after she died. Because of that I ignored the overpriced $40 that it was. When I received it, half of the photo backings had broken off and some screws immediately fell out. When I tried moving the ones that hadn't broke (ever so delicately) to put the pictures behind them, half of the remaining ones broke off too. To top it off, when I tried hanging it, the hanger which was made of the same cheap plastic, broke instantly. I love the way this frame looks and I don't even mind that its not wood but this product is only half functional and not worth the money. Now I have to go to home depot and essentially replace the entire back of this frame.

Also, some of the plastic from the frame was actually peeling on the edges like it hadn't been cut right or something. But that was really the least of my concerns.

I'm only giving this 2 stars because I still love the layout of this frame and could not find anything like it.

First, the frame has an interesting design, which is why I bought it. However, it is very poorly made. Personally, while I would prefer wood, I don't have a problem with plastic if it's high quality. This frame would be heavy if made from wood and plastic can be made to look just as good. Actually, I suspect this is really some kind of hard polyurethane foam. First, there was flashing on the back of the frame that I had to file off, otherwise the edge around the picture is wavy. Second, the frame has a matte texture that takes fingerprints very easily, I had to use soft-scrub to remove them. The clasps on the back that hold the glass, picture and back are also made of plastic and very fragile, many of mine were broken on delivery and I had to use tape at those locations. I guess it would have cost five cents more per unit to use metal. Finally, it's not obvious from the picture because it's taken head on, but the pictures are inset between 3/4 to 1-3/8 inches behind the face of the frame lattice. So, if you are looking at an angle, much of the pictures are obscured by the frame. It's like the ultimate example of form over function. This was purchased as a gift; I would have returned it if I had the time.

This is the cheapest frame I have ever owned. The frame is a very low quality plastic and almost all the little tabs that hold the pictures in broke off. When I tried putting in my first photo a tab broke off, so I knew to be careful with the rest. Even so, I had to tape them all in because they would break just by touching them or gently moving them. Every single piece of paper is taped to the glass in two places. You have to get an box knife to cut away the tape in order to get your pictures in. I was so frustrated by the tabs breaking and cutting each paper out twice, I would have thrown it away had it not been a gift. It does look good hanging on the wall though. As long as you have a place to hang it higher up, or from a distance. Don't hang it where it can be touched because it feels cheap and looks cheap close up. The whole thing would probably fall apart if handled more than once. There is also only one direction to hang it. I would not recommend trying to add a second mounting bracket because the plastic will certainly split and crack. Also I don't think it would stand up to have photos rotated every so often. NOT WORTH THE MONEY! BUY A DIFFERENT FRAME.

It's a pretty light plastic frame, so it feels a little cheap. I had thought it was particleboard. If you don't mind that, then buy with confidence.

It looks beautiful. I love the layout. I wish it was made of wood. I thought the description said it was but it is clearly not wood.

I was given this frame for Christmas last year. I love its unique design, and it does a great job of displaying our photos. No, it's not made of real wood, definitely seems like some sort of plastic-y material, but that really isn't an issue for me. It looks great on my wall, seems pretty solid, and does what it is supposed to do. We haven't had any issues with it and have had it hanging up for almost a year now.

Received this as a gift: it broke trying to open the first picture backing, the photo openings are too narrow to accomodate 4x6 prints without trimming, it also warped the 3 photos I tried putting it in.

As others stated, it is cheap plastic. I loved the shape, but it isn't worth the hassle.

This frame was exactly what I was looking for to showcase my series of lighthouse pictures. Love the fact that it has openings between each frame because my wall color (which I love) can be seen through it.
