First, don't even think of comparing it to an ipad, it's 1/5 the cost at least. For $100 it's ok. First, use OPERA CLASSIC/MOBILE for web browsing. Dolphin is unstable junk, google chrome for android, on this tablet anyway, is painfully slow and buggy. I get about 4 - 5 hours on the batter, tablet is 6 months old. I am able to watch netflix, picture looks good, never hesitates, doesn't freeze. If you are someone that needs facebook, games, email, weather, and 10 other things all running at once giving you notifications, this is not for you. Those freebie junk games will bog down an expensive tablet too.

If you're like me, and open one or 2 programs at a time, and don't have things running in the background, it's great for $100! I was also able to use gotomypc, not to bad once you get the hang of the mouse. If you play lots of games, I would not recommend this tablet.

Summing up, great for email, netflix, gotomypc, web browsing, & youtube. Not good if you need words with friends, facebook, and 3 other games all running at once.

You get what you pay for. Many of the complaints I read online seem to be people that dont understand android, or how to configure wifi, routers, etc.

In my case it only did last for 2 and half months after giving super slow performance during it's life short life time. What happened , on a day it went to sleep mode and then it was not waking up. So as per normal action I tried to reboot it , reboot process only went up to the screen where "android" sign is displayed for ever , going no where else. so I will recommend it's rather worth to spend 50-100 bucks more to for a well known branded android tablet instead of relatively cheaper Hipstreet tablet.

I bought this tablet for $98 at Wal-Mart to try it out. I obviously wasn't expecting anything near an iPad, but I must say this one is really crappy. The wi-fi doesn't work more than half the time because it's out of range, even though I'm sitting right next to my PC which gets a fairly good reception, and web pages are excruciatingly slow to load. Just for this (JUST, as if anyhting else mattered), I give it one star. To be fair, I did watch Obama's acceptance speech on youTube and it was pretty good (the video, not the speech. I got bored after 11 minutes). Resolution and sound are decent. But that's not enough. I tried to view an Excel document on my SkyDrive and it took forever to load, and once it did, I couldn't do much.

I thought I would give Hipstreet a chance, because I did buy a reader from them almost 2 years ago and, although it's nothing to write home about, for $48 it was pretty decent. But the tablet is really awful. In the future, I'll stay away from Hipstreet and you should too. Don't waste your time even trying it out. Now that I can get a mini iPad for $330, maybe I should just go for that. I just hate to spend that much money on something that I still don't know what I'm gonna use it for. But that's another issue entirely.

I bought this tabletHip Street FLARE HS-9DTB4-4GB 9-Inch Tablet (Black) primarily because I wanted to read books and wanted a tablet instead of a dedicated e-reader. First the touch screen is slow and temperamental. Even using a stylus. I am not familiar with the dolphin web browser, so web browsing is frustrating. While I knew that this tablet did not work with google apps, I thought getjar would still be okay. Well, I was so wrong. The e-reader app would not download. So I cannot download the Kindle app. Or adobe, which I need to read the on-line library books. The battery life is terrible. I don't think it lasted six hours. Although I have only had the tablet less than one week, I do not think I will be using it anymore. I should have spent the money on the ereader. I would not recommend this tablet.

Bought this as it seemed like bargain - Big Reduction Advertised - Worst purchase ever !!!!!!!!!! The saying "if it sounds too good to be true it probably is" really applies here - Don't do it to yourself, keep saving until you can afford something decent !!!!!!!!!

I may change my response after using this tablet for a few months but after a few days, I love it! I ordered a second one today. Don't expect a $300 tablet. Be realistic and this tablet will not disappoint. Has not frozen once and the touch screen is incredibly responsive - barely have to touch. I have not used my laptop since this tablet arrived. It surfs much faster than my dual core Dell Inspiron! I read these reviews and almost didn't buy. Really glad I took the chance!!
