wow i thought these would be good but theyre simply stunning for 60 dollars. the bass on these little cans is great especially with songs like dazed and confused by led zeppelin or loser by beck. mostly though ive played battlefield 3 on it and it sounds almost as good as my sony pulse headphones. very high fidelity drivers make speech and low end bass very clear as well as the mid range for guitar and gaming. overall THIS HEADSET IS BADASS end of discussion!

After reading reviews all over the net and just by looking at how nice the headset looks, I was sold. And I was not disappointed, they look great and feel great! The sound quality is amazing besides a slight and faint humming when no sound is running through them (on PS3 only, no humming on PC). What I love about them is that they can be used for calls on a cell phone or video calls and the microphone works great!! The detachable mic is a little hard to get used to (locking them in) so READ THE INSTRUCTIONS before trying to jam them in. Overall a great headphone really up my game in MW3 S&D(you can hear footsteps, defuses, ect.). Overall awesome headset for price!

Works fine with the PS4. The quality is surprisingly good. Battlefield 4 is a completely different experience with them. My only complaint would be the comfort. The ear pieces are small. Unless you have small ears, you may find yourself adjusting them frequently.

You can either plug them directly into the controller or use the USB attachment. Using the controller, make sure to have all sound go over the headphones (Settings > Sound and Screen > Audio Input > Output to Headphones > All). The volume can be changed under the Devices section of Settings. If you want to use the USB, your TV must have audio out (red/white RCA). The benefits of using USB are that you can mute your mic and also set the (incoming) mic and game volumes separately on the fly. The downside of using the USB is that you're tethered to the system, though the cable is quite long. Finally, if you are using the USB, you want your Audio Input setting mentioned above to be set to Chat Only.

I am writing this review for anybody who was/is skeptical about paying $50 for this headset. First of all this product is great for gaming, the Sound for ingame is amazing and so is the chat volume. The people who have reviewed this item were right about how your ears start to hurt after a longtime use but that's never stopped me from using them for a long period of time. You can use these for headphones as well, because the mic detaches and the music quality is great. The Con about these headsets is the ear hurting but other than that I highly recommend it. Thank you for reading this review and I hope it has helped you make this decision.
P.s. I have had these for a month and still have had no issues :)

I bought the Kunai Tritton headset in anticipation for Black Ops 2. Since it hasnt come out yet ive been playing all different sorts of games ranging from sports all the way to shooter and im just blown away. I wasnt expecting much for a gaming headset thats only $60 but i cant express how amazing this headset is. The sound quality is great and the surround sound makes your gaming experience better. My friends say my voice through the mic is crstal clear and the option to decide the level of sound and vouce chat volume through the speakers is an amazing feature. I also wanted to try them on my ipod and they were still great. They do have bass however dont expect them to bump as much as professional studio headphones but they still have a great amount. Overall im suprised these are only 60 bucks.

First off, I would like to say this headset is amazing! You can't go wrong with them.

When these first came to my home I was amazed with the packaging (it is really well done) I quickly unbox'd it and went straight to my gaming room and hooked it up. I'd like to say though, their was a few problems if you are using HDMI. (black screen)It was an extremely easy fix all I had to do was hold down the "on/off" button for 3 second! (doing this will reset resolution and ect.)

After 3 months of having it, I can safely say its extremely durable, dropped it 2 times off a 11 ft stairs, and it still works LIKE NEW! The sound quality is wonderful; "soundwhoring" is really easy to do with these beast! Even when you are just listening to music it works wonderfully. Also the removable mic is amazing if you use it for PS Vita (having the mic there just make you look stupid). Although, their was a BIG con and that was the fact the ear muffs were too small for my ears. After one hour of playing my ears was in pain, but it goes away after 10-20 minutes.

PROS: Great Sound Quality!
Extremely Durable!
Removal Mic!

CONS: Small Earmuffs!

I really liked this headset overall it might be one of my favorites, the last gaming headset I had was the Turtle beach px21 and this replaced it after it broke. The sound quality was great and I loved the detachable microphone, however, there are some things you may need to consider before buying this.

PROS:

Detachable microphone (great if you want to use this for other things besides gaming)

It’s also possible to detach the headset apart from everything else so that you can plug it into your phone, ipod, pc, or whatever else you may want to use it on

Aesthetically pleasing (It’s also easy to keep clean)

Build quality excellent, it’s a really solid, comfortable design.

The audio quality is good except one or two drawbacks but we will get to that later, otherwise it is a great headset.

The adjustable head band displays increments so you don’t have to worry about readjusting constantly.

THE PRICE!

CONS:

Although you can plug it into any device you want to enjoy music on, I find that the cord is just a few or so inches short to reach all the way into my pants pocket, I can plug it in but my phone sort of floats in my pocket so I normally have to put it in a shirt pocket or hold it. (I suppose you could buy a 3.5mm headphone jack extender to fix that problem, but I have not)

As I said above the audio quality it’s self is great however there is an ever present humming noise when I plug the USB cord into my ps3. I have found some ways to quiet this but with some drawbacks
1) plugging it into a USB port other than the ps3 seems to stop this completely but then you cannot use the mic
2) Plugging in the A/V cables into the back of something like your TV quiets it a little bit (at first I didn’t because the ps3 allows you to have two audio outputs and I didn’t find it necessary since I have a HDMI cable)
3) when there is constant noise in the game it’s self then you won’t notice it at all since it isn’t that overpowering only when it gets really quiet will you notice it so it’s not too big of a deal unless the game that you like to play does not have any background music, in which case it is maddening.

There is no way to control the bass or treble when you are connected to your ps3 only the headphone volume and microphone volume.

You can’t hear yourself talk in the headset. My last headset had a feature that allowed you to hear yourself talk in-game, this prevented you from accidentally shouting. It was a brilliant feature that sadly this headset does not have.

Conclusion
Overall it’s a great, quality, and durable headset and I can hardly believe they were only 40$ since the production quality was so high. Still it does not have all the features of a 60-100$ headset, however, if you are looking for a gaming headset that will stand the test of time and have good quality audio then this is a product to have.

The thing I love the most about this headset is the hardware quality in it! even though it could improve in sound, it's well worth its money. I've had them for a few months now, using them quite a bit on my PS3, Ipod and PSP and they're pretty much exactly how I recieved them (New).
Chatting on them while playing online is very clear dispite the detachable microphone which some reason I thought could lower the sound but people on the other line seem to here me clearly. Actually the detachable mic fits me perfectly since I take the headset out while on my Ipod and I can just take it off so it doesn't get in the way.
Another plus is the fact that I can play with them for hours and they don't bother at all like other headsets tend to after so much gametime. they very light and don't squeeze your brains out of your nostrals like others.

Highly reccomended for the price! the quality is way over the price range! Five stars nothing less!

Amazing headset. The bass is excellent, crystal clear highs and mids. Sounds like you're in a movie theater. I love the detachable mic, so I can use them as regular headphones with my cell or laptop. Extra long cord detaches leaving a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. Superb quality plastic and ear pieces. Don't waste your money buying an over priced turtle beach headset. Note: your Playstation is likely connected with an HDMI cable, so dig out your standard A/V cable because these connect by piggy backing the audio plugs (red and white) with the standard playstation A/V cable, then into the TV. Just leave the yello video cable unplugged and you're good to go. The directions show multiple ways to connect them tho...very simple. Also check your mic volume level in the PS settings.
