Great cards but TERRIBLE build quality
on August 25, 2014
This rating reflects the awful build quality of these cards. I own 11 of them and they are the only SD cards that work in my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera (BMPCC). So for that they're great. But, after 6-8 months of once or twice-a-week use, they start to split in half. I've had to tape more than one of these cards shut.
Since I shoot video for weddings, and these are sold as "professional" cards, having several of them split open and thus relying on tape to keep them together is totally unacceptable.
Everyone who owns these can tell they aren't made with any better materials or in any superior way to the types of SD cards that are given away at trade shows or that can be purchased for $2.99. A card that sells for over a hundred dollars (my 128 GB cards have the same problems) should be made to fit their purpose.
SanDisk needs to stop selling their high-end cards with 2 cent materials to cover the internal components.
