I bought these sticker books because I attended a writing/illustrating class with this author/illustrator.I have always loved getting these mini sticker books for my children and really loved these because they are done so nicely and have special meaning to me. What child wouldn't love playing with these during the fall holiday season, I greatly recommend them.

If you're a 'sneaky mommy' who likes to incorporate education with entertainment whenever possible, here's the answer for this year's long Thanksgiving trip to Grandma's!

"The Pilgrim House Sticker Activity Book" by Dover Publications is a tiny book to keep in your purse until just the right moment. The inside covers are sleek & laminated to allow you to position the stickers of the Pilgrim family, their pets and household goods again & again.

Iris van Rynbach's illustrations have a sweetness and humor to them. Children, parents and others will find it easy to invent imaginative stories about why the cat is smiling, what's cooking in that big iron pot on the fire, or why the chicken is strutting around indoors. You will note 'Pilgrim Dad' smiling as he totes a huge sack. (Now that historians have revealed that beer was the settlers' drink of choice, we know how the old folks got through the day!)

Illustrations also include a butter churn, dried corn, pumpkins, decorative wreath, fireplace bellows & other items. You could potentially incorporate the 43 small, full color stickers into a scrapbooking design or school project, or even Thanksgiving place mats.

Like another Dover book, "Priscilla the Pilgrim Girl" this would also be a delightful surprise tucked into a seasonal card to a child, or adult sticker collector. Whether you're headed out to Plymouth-- or to Buffalo-- this could be a fun roadtrip diversion for the kids. Well worth the $1.50!
