In THE ULTIMATE UNOFFICIAL HARRY POTTER TRIVIA BOOK, author Daniel Lawrence has created and organized a "reader friendly" book of multiple-choice trivia questions that even the most devoted Harry Potter enthusiast will find to be fun, challenging, and informative. This highly-anticipated book by Daniel Lawrence is a great read for any HP fan. Enhanced with new Book 6 insights, analysis and a comprehensive index, browsing through the pages of this book is about as close as you can get to actually being at Hogwarts!
FINALLY, a book that takes the entire Harry Potter series (Books 1 to 6 and Movies 1 to 4) and puts it into a light even us HP fans have to take a step back from and say, "WOW, I didn't know that!" I've been an avid HP fan for years and surf the sites on a daily basis, yet I still found myself taken aback by the information/material in this book. First you can you quiz yourself on what you THINK you know. I found some things I thought were fact were just actually well accepted rumors in HP Web Circles, but this book cuts through those and gives you an in-depth answer to each question without adding any unnecessary writing that goes nowhere. It just gets right to the point, which is exactly what every HP fan wants.
Secondly, this book is not just a question-answer book. The answers are not just given as simple one line statements such as "a.) HERMIONE or b.). DUMBLEDORE." This book gives you the answer and then provides superb explanations as to why it is that answer. The facts that come with the answers are great at giving you a behind-the-scenes look at the writings of JK Rowling while using the trivia to guide you through her subtle clues. I can find myself taking more time reading the answers then the question just so I can read the facts that this book touches on. If you want to test yourself on Harry Potter Trivia and graduate to the level of expert, buy this book.
This book is the ultimate companion piece to all the books in the series, especially Book 6. SPOILER WARNING: Don't even consider opening the Ultimate Trivia Book unless you've read all six books of JK Rowling's Harry Potter series. The author's unique ability to discover little-known insights, clues and facts are strictly for trained wizards only.
Whether you are an avid HP fan or just a casual reader, child or adult, this book is a "must-have" challenge for any true HP fan. Highly recommended.

So you've read the Half-Blood Prince book and now you don't know what else to do with your time until Book 7 comes out, right? Maybe you missed a few plots or clues on the trail along the way. Luckily, author Daniel Lawrence has published this fun and challenging trivia book to certainly fill the void and test the knowledge of HP fans everywhere.
The HARRY POTTER TRIVIA BOOK will definitely help you discover new Harry Potter secrets, history, hidden treasures, and the little details that make everything so wonderful. It is divided into different chapters and each chapter begins with multiple-choice questions, followed by the correct answers and additional fun facts about the subject. Questions challenge you to remember all phases of HP and to identify where in the series you might find a particular character, prop, clues etc. or even hear a particular key line of dialogue (taken from a particular book in the series). The final chapter is devoted mainly to Half-Blood Prince Book 6. Harry Potter has gone through many changes in his six years at Hogwarts. Fans who missed certain clues or puzzles can stay in touch or get better acquainted with them here. To add to the fun, you'll find fascinating tidbits of information highlighted throughout the book.
After reading this book, I can see why this new best-selling guide is extremely popular with Harry Potter fans worldwide. It is a great resource for mastering your sleuth skills to find important clues, mysteries and missed facts. By recognizing these hints, you'll be even more prepared for when the final Book 7 is released. JK Rowling is the master of sprinkling clues throughout her books and now author Daniel Lawrence, in his unique way, points you in the right direction to find them.
Author Daniel Lawrence has developed a huge following in the HP community for his insights. In the ULTIMATE UNOFFICIAL TRIVIA BOOK, he displays his wealth of HP knowledge and research in an interesting, yet fun-to-read manner. I recommend that you first read all Six books in the series before you test your knowledge in this TRIVIA BOOK.
I can see why this has become the most popular book to analyze the clues and mysteries hidden within the Harry Potter series. If you've read all the books and think that you know everything about the series, this book will teach you how many tidbits you probably overlooked. The TRIVIA BOOK will help you master your skills before book 7 is released and allow you to look at the first six books in a different light to discover all the clues you may have originally missed.
The ULTIMATE HARRY POTTER TRVIA BOOK: SECRETS, MYSTERIES and FUN-FACTS by Daniel Lawrence is the best HP companion book I've read since the Half-Blood Prince has been published. It certainly is a Must-Read for HP fans everywhere.

Brilliant Book 6 Companion, July 5, 2005

Being an adult HP fan, I readily admit that I normally acquire most of my Potter information through fan Web sites and forums. However, after hearing about all the fun that fellow HP fans were having reading this book, I decided to purchase it. I must say it was a wise acquisition. Author Daniel Lawrence has written a fun HP companion book that will bring out the expert SLEUTH in anyone who reads it. Lawrence covers all the books in the series, including Half-Blood Prince Book 6, by using a question-answer method that is easy to follow. Very comprehensive, the author brings out fascinating insights and facts overlooked by most fans. Although I consider myslef to be an expert, I must admit that I could not believe how many questions I got incorrect when taking Lawrence's test in the book.
Unlike other companion pieces on the market that are either too outdated or dwell too much on theories, this Harry Potter Trivia Book offers true HP fan what they really want, current Facts and Doctrine. I know that Daniel Lawrence has legions of followers and is considered by most fans to be the top authority on HP information. His unique ability to analyze new mysteries and present them in such a clear fashion must be commended.
If you want to test your WIZARD KNOWLEDGE on all six books in the series, the Ultimate Unofficial Harry Potter Trivia Book is definitely for you. This book is for those who regard HP as more than just a wizard. Read this book after completing Book 6 and you'll find yourself realizing how many facts, subplots and puzzles you really missed. You'll probably be like me and want to re-read the original JKR books again just to see how many clues you missed the first time around. For Harry Potter fans who simply want useless therories given to them, then this book is NOT for you! But, if you want an insightful, well-organized, fact based companion book that includes Book 6 and closely examines the true genius of J.K. Rowling, this book should be at the top of your list. Every page you'll discover something new and how J.K. Rowling truly is the master of placing clues. Author Daniel Lawrence in this book has set the new benchmark for all Potter companion books. HP fans will love it.
