This is a great book - especially for those of us who are 3-4 years post op and having issues with weight gain. Not only does she walk you through her surgery, the post-op, and first year, she addresses the challenge of trying to maintain our weight loss in the years following surgery. It was a great help to me and gave me lots of hints and ideas to be successful. It brought me back to the basics and that's what I needed.

Gail has a true talent for getting to the meat of the issues that post-bariatric surgery folks have to deal with. The book was very honest and did not gloss over the difficulties all bariatric patients must face. If you are considering or have had bariatric surgery this is a must read!
