5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable and heart warming - Good Reading, March 24, 1998
By A Customer
Julie Garwood's Rose series (For the Roses, One White Rose, One Red Rose, One Pink Rose) are awesome. Easy to read and enjoyable. They are all books that you can't put down, eagerly reading to see what happens next and when you finish, you're wanting more of the story and can't seem to wait for the next book in the series. You'll find yourself smiling as you read with enjoyment the stories bound by love and respect for one another, and their bonds that are stronger than any blood ties. Suggestion to author: Hey Julie, why not giving us a book on Mama Rose????

4.0 out of 5 stars Short but Sweet, November 8, 2011
I loved Emily she was a strong woman that was sick of crap she was dealt in the past, but at the same time she was very rash. So she decided to find her own destiny, and of course fate had her own plans. Still she found it. Again there is characters you fall for that you wonder if you will ever see again but that is what makes a world interesting. It makes your head wander and you do not want to leave the world you just left.

Both Travis and Emily do some growing up in this book. A refreshing read.

5.0 out of 5 stars This little book had me laughing out loud!, April 22, 2006
Every once in a while, I look for a quality book I can finish in an afternoon off. This book is about the size of a Harlequin paperback, which fit that category for me. Rarely do I find that I want a Harlequin to go longer: that is not the case with "One Pink Rose."

I really liked this book. Travis, the lead male and part of the famous Julie Garwood "Clayborne Brothers," is a smart, funny, down to earth man who gets asked to escort an equally smart, but kind of dingy young lady named Emily to her mail order husband up in the hills.

Of course, sparks fly between Travis and Emily, and their story is cute, their conversations witty and funny, and the passion is hot. Even though it was over a little period of time (A few days), it was written so you believe they fall for one another.

When the book ended, it was like a movie that you want to see the sequel for. What happened to them? I read the other Clayborne books, and they only had little references of Travis and Emily. Out of all those couples, they were the best in my opinion.
