The author specializes in fun romps through history and the present, linking them in popular historical conspiracy thrillers. This book takes the reader back and forth from the present day to Jerusalem at the time of Christ (and in the present day), to the late Middle Ages in northern France and Southern England, and to 1880s Barcelona.

For me, the most entertaining bit of the book was the beginning, when the author explores the Big Bang. I'll say no more, but leave that for the reader to discover.

The plot charts the hero's search for the Holy Grail. The writer even references some popular fiction relating to the Grail: Monty Python's film and Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code. The one he should have studied better was the 3rd Indiana Jones movie. If he had, he might have made a few alterations to his plot. But in any case, this is an entertaining story about good-guys and bad-guys through history trying to find the chalice Jesus used at his last supper.

Lots of research goes into these books and comes out on the pages, which is what fans love. Unlike some of these historical conspiracy thrillers, the stories from the past flow throughout this book, creating entertaining stories within a story, rather than little snippets.

This genre of book is really an elaborate con: the writer introduces a likeable front-man or woman, then builds the plot slowly, layering the historical and current proofs carefully to support the outlandish claim that is revealed at the center of the book. Suspend your disbelief and go along for the ride. Enjoy the con! The writer knows how it works, and delivers every time!

The Resurrection Maker, by Glenn Cooper, is one of the most interesting books I have ever read. This book has plots within plots within twists within betrayals within redemptions. This book posits the theory that the Holy Grail is the same cup Jesus drank from before he died, and was the reason he resurrected. This book has it all: advanced science, historical flashbacks, myths and legends seamlessly woven into modern times, and even a love story.

The characters in this book are exceptionally well-described. I feel as if I know some of them, just from his descriptions. He paints a picture that allows me to visualize what they look like very well.

The scenery and locations range all over, from England, to Barcelona, and even Jerusalem. When he describes the tomb of Jesus, I can picture myself standing there. The novel is so awash in descriptive words, it makes the settings come alive.

The ending left me in suspense, even when it was over. Normally, I'm not a fan of that, but he does it in such a way that I'm hungry for more, and not angry that he left the ending hanging. I highly recommend this book to those who like historical flashback books, those who enjoy reading about King Arthur and the Grail, those who like books regarding religious artifacts, and those who like suspense and mysteries. It's a great book and I highly urge everyone to buy it!

A total roller coaster of a ride! Glenn Cooper successfully brings a superb mixture of history, science and a helluva tale together. Riveting read! My husband is of the Clan Arthur.. And, much to our surprise and shock.. my husband and son were able to learn that they too have the "thirteenth royal rib"! I had never heard of this tidbit.. so, it made this novel all the more personal to us!

"The Resurrection Maker" is an edge of the seat read! A well blended historical mystery mixed with today's cutting edge technology! I even checked to see if one can really spend the night at monasteries.. and much to my delight.. found that is very much a reality for those that would like to stay within the walls of a monastery or convent. What a fantastic experience that must be too!

The only distraction for me.. was the ending. As this story must be book one of a new series. I was left wanting to know.. WHEN will the second book be out?! lol

I had such a lovely time reading this title. The legends of King Arthur, Excalibur and the Holy Grail have always fascinated me. The story switches between ancient times and current as the Hero and sidekick race against time to solve the puzzle of the unsolvable.

The reader is introduced to Arthur Mallory, the main character. A close friend and his wife are murdered and Arthur is left for dead. Arthur seems to be targeted by an unknown attacker and wants to understand why. He comes home after searching out the last person his friend Holmes visited before his death to find a young woman on his steps. Her name is Claire Pontier. She has come to him to warn him his life is in danger. She stays with him and helps him on his search to figure out what Holmes had discovered before his death. Along the way, Arthur makes discoveries regarding his heritage.

The ending is an interesting cliffhanger and you have no way of knowing what really happens to Claire.

The Resurrection Maker

This book wasn't just good, it was fantastic. A thrill ride from start to finish. Our hero
is Arthur Malory who turns out to be a direct decendent of King Arthur. Of course,
this leads to a Search for the Holy Grail and one wild search it is.
The story line is filled with historic facts that Mr. Cooper weaves together into a
tantalizing mystery. He takes the reader back to 1450 where Thomas Malory is
shown a letter written by the son of King Arthur. In it he claims to have seen the
"Holy Grail". He tells the finder of the letter where to find the King Arthur's Sword.
The sword holds the clue that leads to the Grail.
Ok, that is all I am telling you. Read the book and be ready to visit some incredible
real historic places. I did a search and these places are beyond belief. Specially the church in Barcelona.
I liked this book so much I ordered Mr. Coopers other 3 books.
