These types of items characterized the different ocean liners, from the Normandie with her elegant Art Deco furnishings, to the stainless steel gleam of the S.S. United States, to the old-world luxury of the Queens.
About the Author
Myra Yellin Outwater made her first Atlantic crossing in 1971 aboard the Queen Elizabeth 2, a voyage that launched her on a quest for ocean liner collectibles and a half dozen more crossings. She and her husband, photographer Eric Boe Outwater, are members of the Ocean Liner Society and the Steamship Historical Society of America.
